looking for 4 adults to ride on own with map for 1 or 2 days. we are with Fantasy RV Tours and will be in the area Sept 5th thru 8th.

This is very helpful, Thank you!!!! I have a family of 6 (Ages 13-19) and was wondering if it would be better to rent a 6 seater UTV for the trails or rent 2 UTV or 2 Jeeps. Would love any advice because we only have 1 day to go off-roading in Moab and we are really looking forward to it. Thanks for any help you can give.
Oooh that’s a tough one. It really depends on the trails you plan to ride and how you want to experience Moab. Are you riding on technical or easy trails? Do you want the open cab feel or are you content to stop and get out to take in Moab’s nature?
For technical trails and a more open cab, a couple UTVs are the way to go. For easier trails and more comfort for everybody, you’d want to stick with a couple Jeeps.
I don’t think one vehicle is a great idea for you. Riding with two vehicles will mean one will always be eating the other’s dust, but cramming a bunch of teenagers into a 6-seat Ranger UTV doesn’t sound like that much fun either.
I think I’d recommend going with 2 Jeeps. They’ll give you a more comfortable cab experience all around, even if they’re not as sporty as a couple of RZRs. Plus, you’ll be able to keep the dust out of your face and you get AC. And it’ll be harder to hold conversations in a UTV unless you’re equipped with helmet communicators.
I have a feeling your passengers will have a stronger opinion than you or I though. Good luck!
