What’s up guys? Are you looking to run a larger tire or have more ground clearance on your Commander XT? Well, SuperATV has you covered with our 3” Lift, and today we’re gonna get one installed. Let’s get right to it.

Remove the Front Shocks

[00:39] First, remove the shock from your A-arm and the frame. Then disconnect the sway bar from the A-arm.

Once the hardware is removed, you’ll remove the front shock from the machine.

Remove the Rear Shocks

[01:15] Now, we’ll move to the rear and remove the shock. We’ll start by removing the hardware that’s attaching the shock to the lower A-arms. Then we’ll remove the hardware attached to the frame. Once that’s done, we’ll pick up on our tire and remove the lower bolt. After that, come to the top, lift up on the shock, and remove the upper bolt.

Compress Your Springs

[01:43] Now, we’ll head to the spring compressor to get our spring spacers installed. We have our shock in the spring compressor here.

We’ll get our arms set up to where we can compress this spring down and remove the retainer. When setting this up, make sure it’s safe because this can be dangerous.

We’ll compress this spring down until we can get the retainer off. We’ll completely remove the spring.

Install the Spacers

[02:51] With the spring removed, we’ll take our spacer and make sure that the side with the lip is facing down. Slide the spacer down the arm. Then we’ll reinstall the spring.

We’ll compress our spring down enough that we can put our retainer back on. You’ll want to hold the retainer in position here as it comes back up. Once it gets to this point, the shock is done.

Our spacer is installed, so we’ll repeat the same steps for the other three shocks.

Reinstall Rear Shocks

[03:43] Now, we’ll take our rear shock and get it reinstalled to the machine. You’ll slide the bolt through the frame and get the nut started. Then you’ll come down here to the lower shock mount and get the bolt in, as well as the nut.

Then we’ll fully tighten our hardware and move on to the front.

Reinstall Front Shocks

[04:34] Now, we’ll take our front shock and get it installed. You’ll slide your hardware back up into the pocket and frame like that and get the nut started. Then you’ll start the hardware into the A-arm. After that, slide the hardware through the sway bar and get it started as well.

Finally, you’ll go through and fully tighten all of your hardware. Repeat these same steps for the opposite side.

That’s all there is to it to install SuperATV’s 3” Lift on this Commander XT. Be sure to check us out online to pick up your 3” Lift today. While you’re at it, drop a like, comment, and subscribe. Thanks for watching, and we’ll catch you on the next one.
