Are you tired of losing a cooler out the back of the machine just by ratchet strapping it down or throwing a bungee cord on it? Well SuperATV has the fix with our cooler/cargo box. It comes with all the brackets you need to get it installed on your Kawasaki KRX, and today we’re going to show you how to get it done.

Installing the Brackets

[00:22] First, remove the four factory bolts. If you have a bed enclosure, these two bolts will be aftermarket from SuperATV. Remove these two and these two. You can discard them. Make sure you keep the rubber gasket and hooks.

Next, grab the brackets. You’ll have a left and a right bracket. The easiest way to tell is to lay them up on your machine. It should look just like this because right here is where the thumb screws are going to go into the cooler. Remember to leave your your hooks on.

I like to get them loosely started. Don’t fully tighten anything just yet. We got the driver’s side installed now we’re grabbing our passenger side. Again, if you are using the bed enclosure, you will reuse your hardware.

Now we have the right and left forwardmost bracket here. I like to go ahead and slide the hardware through. Then Get the spacer that’s provided in the kit and slide it through. Get it lined up with the hole. Then get it started in there just like this.

Installing the Cargo Box

[02:30] Once you’re looks just like this and you have all your brackets in here nice and loose, it’s time to grab the cargo box. Take the cargo box and slide it into place here. You’ll have to kind of wiggle it around to get it right. Get everything close to lining up and then grab the thumb screws.

With the thumb, you’ll have a lock washer and a regular washing. Just slide it right through the bracket like that. Get it lined up on the box and get it started. Make sure you leave everything loose.

Go to the back side over here and get the hardware lined up and started. We have a thumb screw started in each corner, so now we’re going through and installing the rest of our thumbs screws and then fully tightening them.

And that’s there is to it. Now your precious cargo is safe and secure. You’re ready to hit the trail.
