How To Install a Flip Windshield on a Polaris RZR PRO XP

Hey everybody. Today I’m going to be showing you how super quick and easy it is to install SuperATV’s flip windshield on the RZR PRO XP.

First, if you have a factory Polaris roof with a light bar mount installed on your machine, remove the four front screws. You don’t need to completely remove them. You just need to be able to pick up on the roof enough to slide the windshield into place. Then, take your windshield and lay it up on your machine to make sure it fits properly, and remove the protective film on both sides.

[00:59] Now install the bulb seal to the lower portion of the windshield. It’s a straight bulb seal so it doesn’t matter which way you install it. I like to spread it apart just a little bit first to make it easier to install. It can be difficult to install in the cold and you can soak it in hot water to make it easier.

Start right here on this corner where it almost rolls up. Make sure you really press it into the contours of the windshield here so that it’s fully seated. When you get to this portion, you can cut off the excess.

This next step is only required if you’re using your windshield with the factory roof with the built-in light bar. Now lay your windshield so that the hinges are facing up and run a piece of gasket all the across the top section. Then cut off the excess.

[02:32] Now remove all the screws out of the clamps. The next step is easier with two people. Just slide it into position and line the clamps up. Make sure you get it under the factory roof if you have one and make sure the bulb seal is laying on the hood.

Then start all the hardware back in the clamps so that it holds it in position. Then get the two shock nuts out of the hardware kit. Lift the windshield up and slide the strut through the top center hole, and start the nut. Do the same on the other side. Then fully tighten both nuts. Now you can make sure your windshield is still straight across.

Now grab the bracket assembly out of the box and remove all the screws from the clamps. Put the assembly as far down the cage as you can and start the clamp screws by hand. Do the same thing for the other side.

[05:27] Next, grab the catch and catch support along with two of the m6 screws and nylock nuts. Drop the screws down through the support here and slide the handle into position. Then get the nuts started but leave them loose for adjustments. Then do the same on the other side.

Now we’re going to install the catch using the catch hardware. It installs directly to the lower brackets. I like to pop my screws through like this and then slide it through the bracket. Start the hardware by hand but don’t tighten anything yet.

[06:02] Now close the window, and put the handle in the catch. Now you can tighten your handle’s hardware then check what adjustments you need to make on the catch. Right now the catch is at the top of the adjustment. I like to take it down just a little bit to ensure a super tight fit. Then double-check that the latch is good. It looks good, there are no gaps, and the bulb seal is making contact with the hood on this side. Now tighten all the hardware on this side. Continue checking as you tighten everything down. Then do the same thing on the opposite side.

With all the hardware fully tightened, latch it down on both sides, then reinstall the roof.
