What’s up guys? Are you looking for a flip windshield for your Polaris RZR Trail S 900? Well, SuperATV has you covered and today we’re going to show you everything you need to do to get one installed.

Remove the Protective Film

[00:16] First thing, remove everything out of the box and packaging. You’ll see that you have protective film on each windshield—lower and upper.

I like to lay the windshields on the unit and make sure they fit. Then come back over and peel the protective film off.

Apply the Bulb Seal

[00:38] We’ll grab the bulb seal out of the kit. The bottom portion of the lower windshield should be facing us so that the inside (facing the table) goes towards the inside of the machine. We’ll want to ensure that the bulb portion of our bulb seal is facing towards the inside of the machine.

We’ll start our bulb seal and run it all the way around. Then we’ll get to this point right here. Cut off the excess and make sure the bulb seal is fully seated all the way across.

Install the Catch to the Windshield

[01:26] Next, we’ll grab hold of our lower windshield and flip it around to see our two mounting holes. We’ll take our catch and get our hardware loosely installed.

I like to slide my Allen hardware into the channel with the groove. Line it up with the holes on the windshield and drop it through. After this, take your catch support and slide it onto the threads. At the bottom, we’ll install our Nyloc nut and thread it until it gets into the Nyloc. And then it’s good.

Don’t full tighten yet because we will have to adjust it.

Apply Flat Seal to the Lower Windshield

[02:07] After that, we’ll grab two pieces of our flat seal and apply it on this edge as well as this edge right here. Let’s peel the backing off and apply it all the way across. Get something to cut with and cut off the excess. You want to butt the two seals together. Yours should look like this.

Remove Screws from Lower Windshield

[02:50] Now, we’ll flip our windshield over and remove our Allen headed screws. Do it for both sides and then we can go to our unit.

Set Up the Lower Windshield

[03:23] First, make sure your clamps are flipped open and slide the windshield into position. Get the screws you just removed.

To make it a little easier, pick up the windshield and get it on the cage to start the hardware. Then slide the windshield back down so you don’t have to use a Allen short wrench.

Put In the Handle

[04:03] The next thing we’ll do is install our handle. To do this we need to figure out the orientation of the windshield and grab our hardware. On the outside of the upper windshield, take a Nyloc nut and start it on the bottom.

We’re almost ready to install the upper portion to our windshield. Before that we need to remove all the hardware out of our clamps similar to what we did on the lower windshield.

Install the Upper Windshield

[05:00] In the hardware kit, you have a big ceiling washer, big Allen, and a Nyloc nut. We’ll need these to install our hardware up here.

If You Have a Factory Roof

[05:18] At this time, lift your roof to make it easier to slide the windshield into place. Make sure the clamps are flipped out. Then install the upper portion.

You don’t have to install the upper hardware and can just slide in the windshield without doing anything else.

If You’re Not Using a Factory Roof

[06:03] If you’re not using the roof that came with your Trail S 900, you’ll have to use the upper hardware. We’ll slide the windshield up and line it up with these holes in the frame. You will be using the big Allen hardware with the ceiling washer and getting it started with the nut. Lastly, put one screw into each of our clamps.

Install the Strut

[06:45] Now, we’ll flip our windshield up. First thing, take the strut and get it installed. Then take the nut (last piece of hardware), a 12 mm wrench, and a 13 mm socket to get the strut fully tightened. Do the same thing on the other side. All that’s left is to close the windshield and latch our catch.

Fully Tighten the Hardware

[07:22] Once it’s latched, we’ll fully tighten all the hardware for our catch and support, as well as the handle and handle support. We’ll come up here and tighten our upper windshield hardware, and then tighten all our clamp hardware on the top and bottom.

So there you have it. That’s how super quick and easy it is to install SuperATV’s Flip Windshield on this Polaris RZR Trail S 900.
