Are you tired of filling your cab up with dirt, dust, mud, debris, or anything that you run into on the trail? Well, SuperATV has you covered with our full glass windshield for the Polaris RZR Turbo S, and today we’re going to show you how to get it installed.
[0:53] First, remove all the contents from the packaging. Lay it all out to make sure you have everything. Then, take the windshield and lay it up on the machine to confirm the fitment.
[1:53] Apply the bulb seal on the bottom edge of the windshield and cut off the excess. Install the other bulb seal on the upper portion of the windshield. Run it around the top and trim the excess.
The inside of the windshield is facing up, so the seal needs to be facing up as well. Make sure the seal makes contact with the cage on the machine. Cut off the excess when you get to the bottom.
[2:20] Install the gasket on the raised edge on the side of the windshield and tear or cut off the excess. Then repeat the same steps for the opposite side.
[2:45] Install the vent and get the thumb screws started. Hand tighten them.
[2:56] Remove the nuts, washers, and bolts on the clamps. You’ll see the grommet. Sometimes it’s hard to get the insert out of the grommets. I like to take the washer off the screw and pull the screw through to get the insert out. Take the grommet, get it into the windshield frame, and slide the insert back through.
The gasket on the side of the windshield goes up against the cage of the machine. Take the clamp and flatten it out completely, and then line it up with the hole. Make sure that you have the washer on the bolt that you removed from the clamp. Slide the bolt in from the bottom. Then, slide the clamp on and start the nut.
Repeat this same step for the rest of the four grommets and clamps.
[4:08] Take the windshield wiper handle and remove the ten millimeter nut. Then, you’ll remove this piece of the wiper. Then unthread one of the nuts.
Remove both the flat washers and rubber washers. First, put the flat washer and then the rubber washer onto the bolt. Slide the windshield wiper handle through the windshield
Put a rubber washer, a flat washer, and then a 17 millimeter nut on the part of the bolt that sticks out of the other side of the windshield. Then run down the bolt. I like to have more threads on the inside than the outside. It looks a little bit better in my personal opinion. Get two 17 millimeters wrenches and make it snug but not too tight.
Remove the plastic cap from the wiper. Slide the handle in and flip the end of the wiper arm up. Slide the wiper arm onto the splines. Get the 10 millimeter nut started. Fully tighten the nut, so the wiper arm goes all the way up onto the splines.
Remove the protector from the blade. Next, slide the blade onto the wiper. Make sure it locks. Flip the blade up onto the windshield and reinstall the plastic cover.
[6:24] Now that the windshield is all prepped up on the machine, you can get it installed. Make sure the clamps are flipped to the outside of the cage. Slide the windshield right up the cage. Although the windshield’s not completely in position, attach the upper clamp. That will keep the window from sliding down.
Wrap the strap around the cage. Get it lined up with the hardware and get the nut started. Don’t fully tighten it yet. You want to hold the windshield to the cage.
Now that you have one strap attached, get the windshield in place. It should slide to the top of the cage. Make sure you get all the clamps up a little bit to hold up the windshield. Ensure everything’s pulled to the outside and get all the hardware started. Then fully tighten it.
[8:07] Once you have all the hardware fully tightened, that’s all there is to install SuperATV’s full glass windshield on this Polaris RZR Turbo S.
