[0:00] Introduction

Tired of riding with half doors on your Polaris RZR Pro R? SuperATV has the solution with our hard upper doors. In this video, Braden Adams walks you through the complete installation process step-by-step so you can enjoy better protection and a fully enclosed cab feel.

[0:40] Tools Overview and Initial Hardware

Start by gathering the necessary tools. You will need M6x20 Allen screws and M6 nuts. Begin the installation by attaching the left roof shroud to the left mounting bracket. To do this, locate the hole directly below the vent and install one M6x20 Allen screw through the bracket and into the shroud. Add an M6 nut to the back side and leave the hardware finger-tight for now. This will allow for final adjustments later.

[0:50] Attaching the Upper Door to the Roof Shroud

Take the upper door and align its five mounting holes along the top edge with the matching holes in the roof shroud. Insert M6x20 screws through each hole and fasten them with M6 nuts on the backside. It’s important not to tighten these down yet to allow for fitment adjustments during final alignment. Repeat this process on the opposite door assembly to prepare both upper doors for mounting.

[2:00] Preparing the Roof and Applying Foam

Move to the machine and remove four bolts from the roof—two located at the front and two in the rear corners. Leave the center roof bolts in place. To ensure a proper seal between the cage and the new upper door, apply a strip of foam padding along the front edge of the cage where the door will sit. This helps prevent rattling and water intrusion.

[2:33] Removing the Fender Brace Bolt

Open the factory door to access the fender brace. Locate the brace that connects the rear fender to the machine’s frame and remove the 13 mm bolt securing it. Set the bolt aside, as you will reuse it during reassembly.

[2:50] Installing the Door and Roof Assembly

With your pre-assembled door and roof shroud ready, position them on the machine. Align the roof shroud holes with the threaded clips on the roll cage. Use the long M6 bolts provided in the kit to secure the assembly through the roof and into the clips. Again, do not fully tighten these bolts yet. Reinstall the factory 13 mm bolt into the fender brace to stabilize the lower part of the door.

[3:24] Keeping Everything Loose for Adjustment

Leave all installed hardware loose during this stage. Keeping everything hand-tight allows you to make necessary adjustments once both doors are mounted. Proper alignment is crucial to ensure the doors seal correctly and latch smoothly.

[3:55] Removing the Door Skin

To prep the lower door for the upper extension, remove the outer door skin using a T40 Torx bit. For the rear strap bolt located in the back corner of the door, use a T27 Torx bit. Carefully set all hardware aside so it can be reused.

[4:11] Removing the Door Latch Bolt

Next, use a 4 mm Allen wrench to remove the bolt securing the latch mechanism. This will allow you to install the new upper panel without interference. Set the latch hardware aside for reinstallation later.

[4:28] Installing the Upper Hard Door Panel

Grab the hard upper door and line it up with the existing frame. Begin inserting the supplied hex bolts through the mounting holes. From the opposite side, reach in and secure each bolt with an M6 nut. Continue down the frame, loosely installing each bolt and nut pair until all hardware is in place.

[4:53] Reinstalling the Latch Bolt

Reinstall the previously removed latch bolt using your 4 mm Allen wrench. This secures the latch mechanism and allows for testing the door functionality once the upper portion is fully installed. Check the alignment between the new upper door and the factory lower door. Ensure that the door seals well and closes securely. Once the alignment looks good, go through and tighten all hardware—including the bolts connecting the roof shroud, upper door panel, and latch. Use a 4 mm Allen for the bolts and a 10 mm wrench for the nuts.

[5:24] Reinstalling the Door Skin

Reattach the factory door skin using the original T40 and T27 Torx bolts. Make sure all fasteners are secure and the skin sits flush with the frame.

[5:38] Final Steps

Repeat the entire installation process for the opposite side of the vehicle. With both upper doors installed, your Polaris RZR Pro R now features full door protection.
