What’s up, guys? Today we’re going to be showing you how to install Super ATV’s rear bumper on this Kawasaki Terex 4. So let’s get right to it.
The first step is to remove all four of these A-arm bolts. Begin by loosening and removing each bolt from the A-arm.
Now we’re going to install our mount. As you can see, our A-arm has shifted. What I like to do is put my back against the A-arm to get it back in line, then slide my bolt through both the upper and lower mounts. After that, we’ll grab the provided nuts and start threading them on, but we won’t fully tighten anything yet. Repeat the same steps for the opposite side.
Next, we’re going to couple the upper section of the bumper to the lower section.
When attaching the upper section to the lower section, it’s helpful to have someone assist you. While it is possible to do it by yourself, having help makes the process easier. Again, we are not fully tightening anything yet, just getting all the hardware started.
In the kit, you will find a self-tapping screw. When you push the bumper all the way up, it will line up with a hole on the frame. Take an impact tool, push as hard as you can, and run it in as fast as you can. Once it gets tight, stop to avoid stripping the threads. Pull the wire down as you push the bumper up to avoid pinching it against the frame. Line the bumper up with the factory hole and run the self-tapping screw in.
The next step is to go through and fully tighten all your A-arm hardware first to pull the plate, then fasten the upper portion to the lower portion. Fully tighten all the hardware to secure the bumper in place.
Once you have fully tightened all your hardware and ensured that the bumper is exactly where it needs to be, that’s all there is to it to install Super ATV’s rear bumper on this Kawasaki Terex 4.
