[0:00] Hey guys! Are you looking for more protection on the back of your Kawasaki Teryx KRX 1000? SuperATV has you covered with our Heavy-Duty Rear Bumper, and today we’re going to show you how to install it. So let’s get to it!

Start the Brackets on Your Rear Bumper

The first thing we’ll do when we open the hardware pack is see that we have a couple of brackets that look just like this. If you look here, you have a threaded tube on your bumper. We’ll grab one of our short bolts from the kit, line it up, and get our hardware started. I like to run it down to where it just about touches, but we still have adjustability.

We’ll do the exact same thing over here, on the opposite side. We’ve got it where we can still move it around a little bit.

Place Your Rear Bumper on the Machine

Next, I’ll grab our rear bumper and set it down here. As you can see, there is a threaded hole in the frame. You want to line your bracket up with that. Just slide it up to where it lines up with the threaded hole.

[1:19] Now we will take our other short bolt that’s provided in the hardware kit and thread it right in there. Run this one up to where it touches as well, just to help hold the bumper in position.

After that, we’ll grab our last short bolt and the hardware kit. Come over to the opposite side and start this one as well.

Then we’ll grab our nut and our bolt—we have two nuts and two bolts. I like to just drop my bolts through the hole on the rear bumper. It will line up with the frame.

Then we’ll take our nut and reach around, directly below where we dropped the bolt through. There will be an opening. Stick your hand in there and get our nut threaded all the way up to the Nyloc portion.

Do the same thing for the opposite side.

Fully Tighten All Hardware

[2:25] Now we’ll go down through here and fully tighten our lower hardware. Do that for both sides and then we’ll tighten the very first bolt that we put in—the one that holds the bracket onto the bumper itself.

Finally, fully tighten the bolts that secure it to the rear bumper. Once we get that, we can fully tighten the hardware that secures it to the frame of the machine.

[3:21] Do that on both sides.

And there you have it! That’s how super quick and easy it is to install SuperATV’s Heavy-Duty Rear Bumper on this Kawasaki Teryx KRX 1000. For more information on this bumper or any of SuperATV’s great products, feel free to give us a call at 855-743-3427 or check us out online at SuperATV.com.
