What’s up guys, today we’re going to be showing you how super easy it is to install Super ATV’s rear receiver hitch on this Polaris RZR Pro R. Let’s get right to it!
The first step is to remove both rear wheels and tires. This will provide the necessary access to the rear components of the machine. Ensure you have a stable setup to prevent any accidents during this process. Removing the wheels and tires is crucial for reaching the radius arm hardware effectively.
Next, remove the radius arm hardware, starting with the upper radius arm using a 21-millimeter socket and wrench. Once the nut is removed, lift the rotor and pull out the radius arm hardware. Keep the hardware in place to avoid misplacement. Repeat the process for the lower radius arm hardware, wiggling the trailing arm if necessary to free the bolt. Proper handling of the hardware ensures that it can be easily reinstalled later.
Now, remove the inner radius arm hardware. Use the wrench through the hole in the frame to remove the nut. Once the nuts are off, pull out the bolts and remove the radius arms. Place the nuts back on the bolts to keep everything organized. This step prepares the vehicle for the installation of the new receiver hitch.
With the radius arms removed, prepare the rear of the vehicle for the new receiver hitch. Ensure all the necessary hardware is organized and ready for the next steps. This preparation will streamline the installation process and help avoid any missing components.
Take the rear receiver hitch and provided hardware. Slide the upper radius arm onto one of the bolts and align it with the hole. Reach behind and start the nut. Ensure the radius arm is oriented correctly, with the innermost portion bent up. Lift the plate, align the hardware, and start the nut by reaching through the hole in the bottom of the frame. This positioning ensures the radius arm is securely attached to the hitch.
Remove the two 13-millimeter bolts securing the guard to the trailing arm. This step isn’t mandatory but makes the installation of the radius arm easier. Rotate the guard out of the way for better access to the installation points.
Fully tighten all the inner radius arm hardware. This ensures that the radius arm and receiver hitch are securely fastened to the vehicle, providing stability and support.
Using the factory hardware, reinstall the upper radius arm. This step re-secures the radius arm in its original position, maintaining the vehicle’s structural integrity.
Fully tighten the outer hardware and reinstall the hardware for the shield. This final tightening ensures that all components are securely attached, and the vehicle is ready for use. Reinstalling the shield protects the components and maintains the vehicle’s aesthetics.
