Are you looking to install aftermarket harnesses or seat belts in your Can-Am Maverick X3? Well, whenever you do that, it’s going to throw it into limp mode. You’re not going to be able to go over 15 miles per hour. SuperATV’s got the fix with our Seat Belt Override, and today we’re going to show you how to get one installed on this Can-Am Maverick X3. So let’s get to it.
First, open the door on the driver’s side. Come down to the front where the seat bolts onto the frame of the machine. There is a 13 mm bolt on either side. You just need to loosen them up a little bit. There’s no reason to remove them. You’re good as long as the bolts will spin.
With the seat all the back, flip the cushion up and use an 18 mm socket with an extension to go down through this hole and this hole. Remove the nuts then you can flip the seat up.
[01:32] Now you can see the seat belt plug. Pull on it to unclip it. Leave that portion of the harness hanging. Grab the seat belt override and plug it in just like that and it’s good to go. Get the seat back down on the studs. Reinstall the nuts and tighten the hardware and you’re ready to install aftermarket harnesses.
Obviously this machine has harnesses in it already for demonstration purposes. We highly recommend that you wear your seat belt whenever you’re riding. This override is only for if you’re installing an aftermarket seat belt or harness.
And there you have it. That’s how super quick and easy it is to install SuperATV’s Seat Belt Override on the Can-Am Maverick X3. For more information on this seat belt override or any of SuperATV’s great products, feel free to give us a call at 855-743-3427 or check us out online at SuperATV.com.
