What’s up, guys? Today we’re going to be showing you how to install Super ATV’s sliding rear windshield on this Polaris Ranger XP-1000. Let’s get right to it!
The first thing you want to do when you remove your rear windshield from the packaging is lay it up on the machine to confirm fitment. Once confirmed, remove the protective film from both sides of the rear windshield.
After confirming fitment and removing the protective film, start applying the bulb seal. Ensure the bulb portion of the seal is facing up or towards the inside. Begin at one edge, run the bulb seal around the windshield, and cut off any excess. Go back through to ensure the bulb seal is fully seated.
Grab the brackets from the kit along with the short Allen-headed hardware and nuts. Attach the brackets to the rear windshield, ensuring the hardware heads are on the outside and the nuts on the inside. Repeat this process for all four brackets.
Place the brace on the windshield, ensuring it faces the rear of the machine. Use the long Allen-headed hardware with a big flat washer, sliding it through the windshield. Place a small flat washer and a Nylock nut on the back side. Repeat on the opposite side and fully tighten the hardware.
Position the rear windshield on the machine, ensuring the brackets fit over the rear section of the cage. Apply pressure and install the nuts on the bolt threads protruding through the cage. Secure the windshield by tightening the thumb screws until the windshield makes good contact with the cage.
Once you’ve fully tightened all the hardware, that’s all there is to installing Super ATV’s rear sliding windshield on the Polaris Ranger XP-1000.
