What’s up guys, today we’re going to be showing you how to install Super ATV’s sliding rear windshield on this Polaris Ranger XP-1000. So, let’s get right to it!

Confirm Fitment [0:28]

The first thing you want to do whenever you remove your rear windshield from the packaging is lay it up on the machine to confirm fitment. We’ve already done this, so we’re going to go ahead and remove the protective film from both sides of the rear windshield.

Install Bulb Seal [0:49]

So now that we’ve confirmed fitment and removed our protective film from both sides, we’re going to start applying our bulb seal. You want to make sure that you apply the bulb portion of the seal facing up or towards the inside. We know this is the inside because that’s where our latch is for our sliding rear window.

We’re going to start on this edge here, run our bulb seal to here, cut off the excess, and then we’re going to run a piece all the way around and back to this point here, meet up, and cut off the excess.

Install Brackets [2:50]

So now we’re going to grab our brackets out of the kit as well as our short allen-headed hardware and nuts. We’re going to attach our brackets to the rear windshield. Just put the bracket on like that, take one of our nuts, get it started, and there will be two pieces of hardware per bracket. Make sure the head is coming from the outside facing towards the inside. We’ll continue doing this for all four of our brackets, and then we’ll slide the rear windshield onto the machine.

Install Hardware and Brace [4:41]

Now we’re going to take our brace and lay it on our windshield just like this. This is the outer portion of the windshield, so it’s going to be facing towards the rear of the machine. Line it up just like so. We’re going to grab our long allen-headed hardware that’s in the kit, a big flat washer, slide it through just like this, take a small flat washer, put it on the backside of the rear windshield, and then grab one of our nyloc nuts and get it started. We’ll do the same thing for the opposite side. Once we have it started, we’ll go ahead and fully tighten our hardware.

Install Rear Windshield [5:43]

Now we’re going to grab our rear windshield and get it installed on the machine. Make sure that these brackets that we previously installed and left loose go over the rear section of the cage. The bolt threads will protrude through the cage at this point. Apply pressure, grab your nut, install it to the threads, run it up, and do the same thing on the opposite side. Take your thumb screw and fully tighten it to where the windshield is making good contact up against the cage.

Conclusion

Once you’ve gone through and fully tightened all your hardware, that’s all there is to it to install Super ATV’s rear sliding windshield on this Polaris Ranger XP-1000.
