Hey guys, Braden here with Super ATV. Today, we’re going to show you how to install Super ATV’s rear sliding poly windshield on this Polaris Expedition. Let’s get started!

Preparation and Fitment Check [0:28]

First, remove all the contents from the Super ATV packaging. Lay the windshield on your machine to confirm it fits properly. This step is crucial to avoid any issues later on. Once you’ve confirmed the fitment, carefully remove the protective film from both sides of the windshield.

Identifying Windshield Orientation and Attaching Brackets [1:03]

Next, identify the outside of the windshield. The side with the handle on the sliding rear glass is the inside. If you have a solid rear windshield, ensure you go away from the bend. Grab the brackets, making sure the seal is facing up. Using the M6 hardware, align the brackets with the holes in the windshield and drop the hardware through. Secure each bracket with M6 Nylock nuts on the backside. Repeat this for both holes on each bracket.

Installing Edge Trim [2:58]

Now, grab the edge trim. It has a bulb on one side and a flat surface on the other. Ensure the bulb faces towards the inside of the windshield. Start at one edge and work the trim all the way around the windshield. This will provide a tight seal. Once you reach the end, cut off any excess trim. If you find the edge trim popping off, squeeze it together and slide it on for a tighter fit.

Attaching Brackets to the Machine [4:27]

With the windshield prepared, grab your brackets and M8 hardware. Locate the factory threaded hole on your machine. Position the bracket so the flat section faces towards the rear of the machine. Align the bracket with the threaded hole and start the M8 bolt. Leave the bracket slightly loose to allow for adjustments later.

Removing Metal Piece and Installing Windshield [5:20]

Remove the metal piece from the rear portion of the plastic by taking out the push pins. This will give you access to install the windshield. Lay the windshield in place, aligning it with the brackets. Using the short M8s from the kit, attach the windshield to the brackets. Leave the bolts slightly loose to allow for final adjustments.

Securing Windshield with Long M8 Bolts and Spacers [6:32]

Next, grab a long M8 bolt and slide it through the windshield. Add a spacer onto the threads and align it with the factory hole in the cage. Secure it with an M8 Nylock nut. If your machine has ride command and a full speaker setup, it might be a bit tricky to get around the rear speaker. However, with a bit of patience, you can get the hardware started without removing the speaker.

Reinstalling Metal Strip [7:44]

Reinstall the previously removed metal strip between the windshield and the plastic. This will help secure the windshield in place. Use the push pins to reattach the metal strip. Start with one side and then the opposite side to keep it properly aligned.

Final Steps [8:28]

With everything in place, go through and fully tighten all the hardware. Start at the top and work your way down. This will ensure the windshield is securely fastened and properly aligned. Once all the hardware is fully tightened, your installation is complete. Your Super ATV sliding rear windshield is now installed on your Polaris Expedition.
