What’s up guys? Are you looking for a full glass windshield that has a vent and a built in wiper for your Polaris RZR 1000 S? Well, SuperATV’s got you hooked up, and today we’re going to show you how to get it installed.

Installing Your Seals

[00:20] First, get all the contents out of your packaging from SuperATV and lay it all out. Get your glass windshield and lay it up on your machine to confirm that it fits.

You’ll have two different kinds of seals in your kit. You have a straight and you have a 90 degree. The straight seal is what you want first. It goes on the lower portion of the windshield. You can tell this is the lower portion because it has all the contours and your vent. We’ll start right here on this edge and run it all the way across to this edge here. Cut off the excess. It should look just like this.

Grab the foam seal and peel the backing off. Start right here on this edge at the very top. Run this all the way down to the bulb seal. Just make sure it’s close. This seal collapses pretty easily so if you do get on the bulb a little bit, that’s perfectly fine. Same thing here—just run it all the way down.

Installing Your Vent

[01:31] Now we have both of our foam seals installed. While we’re here, I’ll show you the vent. This vent just lays on. As you can see, it slides side to side which is awesome. That way you don’t have to remove it. So you just tighten it down if you want it open and loosen it up if you want it closed, just like that. Put your thumb screws on.

Prepping the Windshield Clamps

[01:52] While we’re still down here on the lower portion of the windshield, grab two clamps. Take the nuts off of them and pull the grommet out. Inside the grommet, you’re gonna see there’s a little piece of steel. It’s a little sleeve there. Shove your screw in there and you can just work the sleeve out just like that.

Take the grommet and feed it in that hole. Take your sleeve and slide it in like then. Then I like to take my clamp and fold it straight like this. Take your screw and feed it up from the outside coming in like that. Kind of hold it. Put your nut on. This just makes it easier when you install it. Same thing here. Now we’re done on the bottom side of the windshield.

I’m going to flip it around so the top portion is facing me. Grab the 90 degree seal, and when we install this, we’re going to make sure that the bulb portion is facing up. That way it makes contact with the cage on the machine. We’ll just start right here at the edge of our foam seal and start working the seal all the way around to the opposite side. I’ll just cut off the excess.

So we’re going to take our clamps and do the same thing we did in the lower portion of the windshield to the upper portion here. Pull the clamp apart. Make sure that it seals up really good. Make sure that your seal all the way around here is right. Sometimes it’ll want to fall off a little bit. Take your screw an stick it through. Put your nut down and do the same thing on this last hole over here. Then we’ll be ready to install our wiper.

Installing the Glass Windshield Wiper

[05:06] Grab the handle for the wiper. Take the nut off of one side. Take a washer and put it up against the nut then a piece of rubber. And then it’ll slide up through your hole like this. Then put the rubber on first, then a washer, and then your nut.

Tighten these up but don’t overtighten them. Just get them snug. If you start to crush your rubber then you’ve pretty much got it too tight. I take two 17 mm wrenches and that makes it easy. Snug it up a little bit.

Now we’re going to flip it up so you can see what we’re doing here. Your wiper arm will come through like this straight through there. You have the wiper, a little bracket, and a little plastic cover. Just pull it out and flip your wiper arm just like this. Slide it on and make sure that this is straight and your handle is straight. Then you can lay it down once we’ve got that all started.

Then just tighten this 10 mm nut. We’ll take our wiper and it should snap right in. Pull the covering off for the blade and flip it down. Now we’ll take the cover and get it reinstalled. And now we’re ready to install the windshield to our machine.

Installing Your Glass Windshield

[07:10] First, grab it like this. I like to kind of give it a shake to try to get all my clamps to the outside. Then we’ll slide it up. You may have have to grab your clamps and flip them to the outside. Then slide it up as high as it’ll go. Make sure it’s not getting bound up on your clamps or anything. I’m just holding tension on it that way it doesn’t want to rotate back.

Take your nut off of one of your clamps. Wrap the clamp around it up on the threads. Take your nut and go ahead and get it reinstalled over here. We’ll go ahead and do this lower clamp as well. Same process here. Just go ahead and get your nut off. We’ll do the same thing over here and with this last one.

Once you have all your hardware started, go through and full tighten all of it. I just use a phillips-head screwdriver and a 10 mm wrench and that’s all you need. You don’t need to overtighten these, you just want to get them to where they’re snugged up and your windshield’s not going anywhere. Once the rubber starts to get sucked down into the windshield, that’s when it’s tight enough.

And there you have it. That’s how super quick and easy it is to install SuperATV’s glass windshield on this Polaris RZR S 1000. For more information on this glass windshield or any of SuperATV’s great products, feel free to give us a call at 855-743-3427 or check us out online at SuperATV.com.

Hi, I have xp1000 RZR and I brought a glass windshield. My question is I have already install, but does the top of the windshield meet with the top bar of the cage.

Hey Christopher! It should sit against the plastic visor—not the top bar of the cage. Check out this video showing how to install our glass windshield on the RZR XP 1000: https://youtu.be/xLGUJOdlt_U?t=400 Thanks for checking in!
