Are you looking for a little bit more space to carry some cargo on the front of your Polaris Ranger? SuperATV has you covered with our front hood rack, and today we’re going to show you how to get one installed.

Installing the Hood Rack Brackets

[00:38] First, remove the front two bolts on both sides that connect your cage to the frame of the the machine. You will not be reusing these bolts so you can discard them or set them aside.

Grab the driver’s side bracket to work on the driver’s side of the machine. You can check the bracket by laying it up here on the cage. Once you’ve confirmed it’s the correct side, grab the M10 bolts and the two spacers out of the kit. You will reuse the factory nuts.

Next, slide the bolts through the bracket. Then take the spacer and slide on on each bolt like this. Now, slide it through the cage just like the factory bolts were sitting. Then get both nuts started. These nuts are designed to fit in the factory frame perfectly, so you can just hold them in place and fully tighten them.

Then repeat the same steps for the opposite side.

Installing the Hood Rack

[02:31] Now, you’ll install your front rack to the machine. Lay it up into position, get it centered, and figure out where you want it. I like to set mine up to where it’s barely hanging over and perfectly straight.

In the kit, you have four allen screws, four Nylock nuts, and four flat washers. Take the flat washer, slide it on the hardware, and get all the hardware started. Don’t fully tighten anything yet because you will probably have to make some adjustments.

Once you have all the hardware started, you can adjust it. I’m going to run mine all the way out on the adjustment—all the way forward. Then, try to get it centered up as far as your left to right adjustment. You have to kind of eyeball it here. If you want to get it absolutely perfect, you can takes some measurements, but you should be able to get it close enough just by looking at the body lines and cage.

That looks pretty good for me, so now I can fully tighten the hardware. It uses a 5 mm allen and a 13 mm nut.

Once you’ve fully tightened all your hardware, that’s all there is to it to install SuperATV’s Hood Rack Bravo on this Polaris Ranger XP 1000. To pick your front rack up, check the description for a like. While you’re there, be sure to drop a like, comment, and subscribe.

Thanks for watching, and we’ll catch you on the next one.
