[0:00] What’s up guys? Today we’re going to install our full polycarbonate roof on this Yamaha RMAX 1000. Let’s get right to it.

The first thing we’ll do is confirm that our roof fits our machine. We’ve already done that so we’ll go ahead and remove the protective film from both sides of the roof.

Remove Protective Film and Apply Gaskets

Once the protective film is removed from both of the roof panels, grab the gasket from the kit and lay it on the rear portion of the roof, which is this section here. You’ll know it’s the rear because you’ll see a hole for a strap on the rear-most side of it.

[1:08] Make sure you apply your gasket to the rear portion of the roof.

Now that the front portion is laid over the top of the rear portion of the roof, we’ll grab our short M6 hardware with the sealing washer and an acorn M6 nut. Slide it through just like this.

Then, what I like to do is take a dab of blue Loctite and put it on the threads. Start the nut on the bottom side. Then continue this process for all the hardware securing the two panels together.

Apply the Rubber Bulb Seals

[2:45] Now that all of our nuts are tight and both sections of the roof are together, we’ll grab the foam from the kit. Flip the roof upside down so the bins are facing up and the nuts are facing up.

Peel the backing off our foam. Take it to this section and take something to cut with. Lay a piece here and cut off the excess. Then come to this section here and lay a piece of foam into this section. You’ll want to either cut or tear it before we get to the hole for the strap.

[4:07] We’re going to grab the seal here and apply it to the front portion of the roof, all across this edge. Once we get to this point we’ll cut off the excess.

Now we’ll grab all the clamps from the kit. You’ll have some hardware started in them. Go ahead and remove that hardware and then come to the following sections on the cage to install them.

What I like to do is go ahead and pinch them together. That makes it a little easier to install the hardware to them. Make sure you orient them like this, so the flat is facing up and the hole faces toward the rear.

Prep the Hardware

[5:09] Now we’ll get all our long Allen-headed hardware and the large sealing washer. Slide the sealing washer onto the hardware, ensuring that the seal portion is facing away from the head.

Now we’re going to install the roof to the machine. This can be done by yourself. However, it’s much easier if you have someone to help you. Now we’re going to take our previously removed rubber grommets from the clamps and slide them in between the two openings on the clamp.

Once that’s done, take the long Allen-headed hardware and slide it through the upper portion of the clamp. Go through the grommet and then through the lower portion. Then we’ll start our Nyloc nut on the bottom threads.

Install the Roof Straps

[6:54] Now we’re going to grab one of our heavy-duty SuperATV straps. Open it up and slide it through with the velcro sticking up. Slide it down like this and apply pressure on the roof. Then repeat the same steps on the opposite side.

Finally, go through and fully tighten all hardware. We’ll also use some soapy water to clean up our roof.

[7:43] Once you’ve fully tightened all hardware and tightened your straps, that’s all there is to it! That’s how to install SuperATV’s Tinted Roof on this Yamaha Wolverine RMAX 1000.
