Welcome to the Super ATV installation guide! Braden here, and today I’ll show you how to install Super ATV’s aluminum door skins on the Polaris RZR XP 1000. This step-by-step tutorial will help you upgrade your vehicle with ease. Let’s get started!

Door Removal [0:35]

To begin, open your door and remove the factory T20 screws securing the door skin to the door frame. You’ll find screws in several locations: near the hinges, latch, and frame edges. Carefully remove all the screws and set the door skin aside. Next, remove the two factory T27 screws securing the door latch. These screws are prone to stripping, so apply inward pressure while turning. If you encounter difficulty, use heat to loosen the Loctite. Once the latch screws are out, remove the two T40 Torx screws from the hinges. The door may drop slightly; this is normal and expected.

Door Installation [1:53]

With the door skin removed, grab your new aluminum door skin and slide it over the factory door frame. The skin should fit snugly and hang in place. Reinsert the T40 screws you removed earlier to secure the door skin to the hinges. At this stage, do not fully tighten the screws. Now, reinstall the door latch in its original position. Lift the door skin to align it with the frame, then insert the screws through the door skin and into the latch. Ensure all holes are properly aligned before starting the hardware. Snug the screws slightly to hold the door in place, but avoid fully tightening them.

Final Steps and Tightening [4:05]

For the next step, grab the front bracket and M8 hardware from your kit. Attach the bracket to the door using two M8 bolts, two M8 nuts, and two M6 bolts and nuts. Slide the bracket into place and secure it with the nuts. Repeat the process for the bottom bracket using M6 hardware. Once the brackets are in place, remove the T40 screws again, lift the door to ensure proper alignment, and start the hardware. Fully tighten the bottom bracket hardware and snug the upper screws. Adjust the door for a perfect fit, then fully tighten the T40 screws on the hinges.

Side Panel Installation [7:08]

To install the side panels, grab the clamps provided in the kit (four per side) and wrap them around the door frame tubes. Position the clamps correctly, ensuring they are evenly spaced. Attach the side panel using the M6 hardware provided. Insert the bolts through the side panel and clamps, then secure with nuts on the back. Ensure the side panel follows the body line of the vehicle, then fully tighten the hardware. Repeat the process for the other side panel.

Conclusion [9:19]

After adjusting and securing the door and side panels, check that everything operates smoothly. Your installation of Super ATV’s aluminum door skins on the Polaris RZR XP 1000 is complete.
