What’s up guys, today we’re going to be showing you how to install Super ATV’s aluminum roof on this Polaris Ranger XP 1000. So, let’s get right to it!
So, the first thing that we’re going to do is grab our foam seal out of the bag in the kit. You’ll have three boxes and one bag. Remove the seal out of the bag, and we’re going to apply that to the rearmost section of our roof, just like so.
So, what we’re going to do is take our seal, starting here, and apply it all the way across to here. We’re just going to peel the backing and attach it.
Once we get to this point here, we’re going to go ahead and cut off the excess. What I like to do is pick up on the seal, pull the adhesive back just enough to where it doesn’t cover your bolt holes. This will make it easier to put your hardware in without obstructing the holes.
So now we’re going to grab the foam out of the box in the kit and apply it all around the outer portion of our roof, just like so. As you can see, our machine already has the foam installed, so you just want to apply it in these sections. We have a piece here that runs along the front edge, all the way across, then a piece that lays down into the Pro-Fit cutout on the cage, runs back to the rear portion of the cage, all along the edge, and in the same position on the opposite side.
Now we’re going to grab the small spacers out of the kit. You’ll have two different sizes: a long spacer and a short spacer. Line them up with the outermost hole on the front of the cage, the centermost hole, and the outermost hole again.
Next, we’re going to take our roof and line the holes on the roof up with the holes on our spacers. Once our holes are lined up, we’ll take our hardware, the short M6 allen screws, and get them started through the holes. After that, we’ll take one of the M6 nyloc nuts and go ahead and get it started.
Now we’re going to grab four of our long allen-headed screws, four of our long spacers, and four of our nyloc nuts. We’ll lift up on our roof here, slide the rear portion of the roof in between the foam, and line our holes up with our rear panel. Once lined up, start the hardware through the roof, the spacer, and the rear panel, then tighten it.
We’re going to repeat the same process for the remaining three holes. Then, we’ll grab our last two M8 allens in the kit and install them into the innermost two holes through the cage. After that, we’ll take one of our nylocs and install it on the rear. Lastly, we’ll grab our final two pieces of hardware and install them in the outer holes on our rear panel, slide them through, and start the final two nuts.
So, once you’ve gone through and fully tightened all your hardware, that’s all there is to it to install Super ATV’s full aluminum roof on this Polaris Ranger XP 1000.
