What’s up guys, Braden here with Super ATV, and today we’re going to be showing you how to install Super ATV’s O2 sensor replacement for the Polaris RZR. If you ever get a check engine light with a 520209 code indicating a bad O2 sensor, we’ve got the fix for you. Let’s get right to it!
First, come to the front of the machine. You’ll probably have a Christmas tree tab that your wiring harness is attached to. On our machine, we don’t have that tab anymore, so we have zip ties. We’re going to cut the zip tie off. Pull the O2 sensor harness down to access the connector. The connector is tight to get to. Push down on the tab on the harness side of the connector and release it. Once released, pull the connector out.
Grab a 14 mm wrench. If the sensor is corroded and stuck, use some penetrating oil. If that doesn’t work, apply some heat. Loosen the sensor and thread it out by hand.
Grab the new O2 sensor and start threading it into the exhaust. Fully tighten it using the 14 mm wrench. Route the new sensor’s wire over the appropriate areas, avoiding any hot surfaces. Connect the sensor to the harness, ensuring it’s securely clipped in. Our setup has a radiator relocation, so it may look a bit different than yours.
Ensure the wiring is up and out of the way, avoiding any contact with the exhaust or other areas that could melt the harness. Use a zip tie to secure the wiring if the factory tab is missing.
