What’s up guys, Braden here with Super ATV and today we’re going to be showing you how to install Super ATV’s soft cabin enclosure on this Honda Pioneer 1006. So, let’s get right to it.

Preparation [0:27]

If you have a roof installed, you want to prop it up out of the way. No need to fully remove it. If you have a windshield, leave it on to notch your hook and loop around the clamps. Now, clean the surface around the cage with 90% rubbing alcohol diluted with water. This will remove any cleaning chemicals or shine that might prevent the hook and loop fastener from sticking. Soak it down real good let it sit for a second and then we’ll go through wipe it off you want to repeat this process a few times just to ensure that you get it as clean as you possibly can.

Installing Hook and Loop Fasteners [1:20]

Now we’re going to take our hook and loop fastener we’re going to start down here and work our way up so I’m going to go ahead and go above this first clamp and work my way around and then I’ll come back in and fill these smaller pieces in here so I’m going to stick hook and loop just like so put a piece up like that and come up here and just trim it off just going to butt it up to that that one start laying it across and once we get back to this point here we’ll go ahead and just cut off our excess and then start following this pillar down we’ll just cut it off like that get here cut it off again we’re going to go blow this clamp all the way down to here and then we’ll cut it off again we’re going to take a shorter piece here and just lay them in between the clamps so I just cut off a rough estimated piece on length here and then I’m just going to go ahead put a little cut in it and then just cut off trim it down and that’s going to fit perfectly there we’ll just put our hook and loop right here in between the clamps we’ll go through make sure all of this is fully fastened down the best that we can get it all the way around the cage.

Attaching Rear Section of Enclosure [4:18]

So anywhere that it has a spot that’s kind of notched up like that where it’s kind of raised I’m going to take just a blade here and just put a small notch that way it lays down nice so right here in these two spots is where it needed it do that and then just try to work all of the bubbles and everything out of this hook and loop you’re going to have some spots that are slightly raised you want to try to avoid that the best that you possibly can like I said taking the razor blade and kind of putting a relief cut in it that’s typically the best way to do it so now we’re going to grab the rear section of our cabin closure and we’re going to start laying it up on our cage we let our hook and loop fastener sit you know for roughly 45 minutes to an hour just to make sure it was good and seated on there as it should be so now we’re just going to sit this enclosure up here and start working it around getting it lined up.

Attaching Front Section of Enclosure [5:43]

So you’ll notice on these enclosures they have straps that can go around the cage I typically don’t worry about those until I get my enclosure kind of laid out and make sure that everything’s installed correctly and then I would slide my strap around the cage and fasten it down it’s usually the last thing that I I do just because if I were to put this one on and I had to make an adjustment I have to undo it and it just makes it a lot easier if you just wait till you kind of have it figured out the way that it’s supposed to lay. All right so we have the rear looks pretty good looks like it’s lined up well there now we’re going to grab the front section and install it.

Securing the Enclosure with Snaps or Hook and Loop [7:10]

So there’s two different ways that you can finish off this install if you look on the back here you have snaps so if you wanted to install the snaps which this is the snap here it just has a threaded portion here to where it’ll kind of self-tap into the plastic with a Phillips head or you can use the hook and loop faster if you wanted to use the snaps what I like to do is get my cabin closure laying exactly how I want it to up top you know stretch it down kind of look it over and just you know overall make sure I like the way the cabin closure is fitting this one’s looking pretty good so what I would do take a paint marker mark the back side of the snap then we would stretch our enclosure down and then apply pressure onto the door and what it does there is it leaves a perfect little circle to where we can take our snap and drill it right into the center of the circle just like that so instead of using the snaps today we’re going to be installing the hook and loop fastener to the door panel so I’m going to pull this down I’m going to say okay I’m going to start right off of this edge to about there and just kind of do a quick test so that fits there good there good and we’re going to have to come up a little bit with this piece back here so what I’ll do is I’ll take my scissors and just trim this section off and just cut a I’m going to eyeball out a small section so we put it on there just like so now our cabin closure fits tight so you’ll want to repeat that same step up here on the front door and then you’ll want to grab one of your zipper loops here slide it through and feed it right back over top itself so that way you have a nice place to grab a hold onto whenever you want to unzip your cab you want to go through make sure you install all your straps around the cage make sure the cabin closure is pulled down as tight as you can possibly get it.

Final Adjustments [9:50]

Ensure the cabin enclosure is tight and fits well. Install zipper loops for easier access. Repeat the process on the opposite side. Once everything is secure and fitting perfectly, that’s all there is to install Super ATV’s soft cabin enclosure on the Honda Pioneer 1006.
