[0:00] Hey everybody, Braden here at SuperATV. Today I’m going to show you how super easy it is to install a Flip-Down Windshield on this Can-Am Commander. Let’s get started.
When you receive your windshield from SuperATV, this is what you are going to get in the box. You’re going to get your preassembled windshield, upper seal, bulb seal, gasket, and heavy-duty Velcro strips. Of course, in the packing slip, you get detailed color instructions. Let’s get started.
[0:33] Be sure to peel off the protective film on both sides. Now we are going to run our bulb seal on our lower windshield. In the box you are going to receive two different bulb seals. We are going to use the shorter bulb seal on the lower portion of the windshield.
Next, we are going to install our gasket on the lower windshield. Then, grab your other roll of bulb seal and start on the side of the lower windshield. Run it all the way up to here and then make a cut.
After that, we’re going to start at the bottom of the upper windshield and run this bulb seal all the way up to the top. One thing to keep in mind is this portion of the bulb seal always needs to be on the bracket side. Run it all the way up to here where the windshield starts to bend and then make the cut.
[2:11] Now do the same thing on the opposite side.
Now we are going to flip the windshield over and install the upper seal. Take your upper seal and your upper windshield and run it right along the lip.
[3:00] Now that all seals are on the flip-down windshield, let’s take it on over to the machine and show you how easy it is to install.
Lay the windshield in place before securing to the machine.
When you install your lower strap on your lower windshield, make sure the sticky portion of the heavy-duty Velcro strap is to the inside. Then, go through just like this.
You’ll see that you have two eyes where the strap goes through. Make sure you only go through one, leaving this one on the outside. That way, when you want to flip your windshield down, you can secure your other Velcro strap to it.
[3:44] Let’s go ahead and tighten this up.
After repeating the same steps on the opposite side, put the strap on the upper windshield. We will do the same thing on this side.
Now that the windshield is installed, we’ll show you how to fold it down. First, remove your upper straps. With the windshield flipped down, tighten the strap.
