Hey everybody, Braden here at SuperATV, and today we are going to be installing a Can-Am Maverick X3 flip windshield. So let’s get started.
[00:24] First, let’s apply the bulb seal to the curved portion of the windshield which is going to come in contact with your hood. Peel back the protective film just enough to get the bulb seal installed. You want to make sure that the bulb portion of the bulb seal is facing towards the inside. Now, cut off the excess.
[00:57] Next, let’s install the lower portion of the windshield onto the machine. When installing the lower windshield, be sure to slide it under this portion here. Using the provided hardware, attach the lower windshield to the cage of the machine.
Now that we have attached the clamps to the roll cage of the machine it’s time to install the gaskets to the lower windshield. Now that this gasket is installed, we are going to install our second gasket to this portion through here. Once both gaskets are installed, cut off the excess. Using the provided hardware, let’s install the catch and catch support to the lower windshield.
[02:38] Install the upper clamp ensuring that this portion of the clamp is facing downward. Once the upper cage clamps are attached to the cage of the machine, we’re going to install the upper portion of the windshield ensuring that this bracket is fixed to this hole here using our long side bolts.
Then, it’s time to attach the upper bolts to the upper clamp on the windshield. Now, let’s install the middle portion of the windshield ensuring that these holes here are aligned with the holes here on the hinges. Next thing that we are going to do is install this end of the gas strut and this hole on the clamp.
Then, we are gonna take the gas strut and attach it to the center hole of the pivot block and the cage clamp to the cage. Now, let’s install the handle and the handle support to the middle windshield and ensuring that this portion of the handle is facing towards the inside of the machine. After that, we want to make sure that the handle and the catch line up, and if they do, you’re good to peel off the protective film.
