Hey everybody, Braden here at SuperATV and today we are going to be installing a flip windshield on a Honda Pioneer.
Let’s begin by taking a look at what is included along with your windshield. You get the left and right gas struts, window assembly, gasket, bulb seal, handle, catch, supports, and hardware. These are the tools you will need—a ratchet, allen keys or socket, wrenches, and something to cut with. Now that we have everything that we will need it’s time to begin the install.
[00:38] Now we’re going to take our bulb seal and install it on our lower windshield. We suggest that you leave the protective film on the windshield until installation is completed. When installing the bulb seal, you want to ensure that it is securely fastened to the lower windshield. Now, we are going to install our gasket on our lower windshield. Then, cut off any excess.
[01:20] Next, we are going to attach our catch and catch support using the provided hardware to the lower windshield. Now that we have our bulb seal, our gasket, and our catch support installed, go ahead and install the lower windshield on the machine. Attach the lower windshield with the provided hardware, making sure not to fully tighten the hardware in case minor adjustments are necessary.
[2:00] Now, we are going to install the handle to the upper windshield. Make sure the handle is facing away from the closest windshield edge. Then, we are going to attach the gas strut to the pivot box on the upper windshield.
[02:20] Attach the gas strut to the lower pivot block which is the side with the handle, and then attach the window assembly to the upper pivot block. Repeat the process for both sides, making sure not to fully tighten the hardware. Once you have fixed both gas struts to the pivot blocks, it is time to put the upper windshield on your machine.
[02:52] When installing the upper windshield, it’s not a bad idea to have a friend or buddy help you. Using the provided hardware, attach the gas strut and window assembly to the cage of the machine. Again, be certain not to fully tighten the hardware in case minor adjustments are necessary. Before tightening all the hardware, make sure that the handle fits into the catch support. Once you are certain that everything is in the correct place, it is time to go back and fully tighten your hardware.
[03:47] Now that everything is in place and fitting well, we are going to go ahead and peel off the protective film. So that’s all it takes to install our flip windshield on this Honda Pioneer 1000. Now lets take it out for a spin. Are you coming?

Undoubtedly one of the worst “instructional” videos ever. The printed “instructions” are even worse. For almost $600, the very least you can do is include a set of clear, well documented instructions. I damn sure hope the windshield is worth it, but don’t expect a good reference from me.
Hey Kurt, I’m sorry to hear this was trouble for you. We’d love to hear what could be explained better or where you might’ve hit roadblocks. Thank you for the feedback and support!
Same here, just received mine and the video skips so much! I can’t find the printed instructions online yet, hopefully I’ll run across them because this windshield is useless until then.
Hey Brent, sorry for your trouble. Here are the instructions: https://www.superatv.com/amfile/file/download/file/1473/product/1656/
If you have any problems during installation, don’t hesitate to give us a call at 855-743-3427. You can even do a video call with Virtual Mechanic if you want someone to see exactly what you’re doing while you’re doing it: https://www.superatv.com/virtual-mechanic
We should be able to get you going again!
