What’s up guys, Braden here with Super ATV, and today I’m going to be showing you how to install Super ATV’s full windshield on this Can-Am Commander. Be sure to check the description below for specific fitment on this windshield, so let’s get right to it.
The first thing you’re going to do once you remove all the contents of the packaging from Super ATV is grab the windshield, lay it up on your machine, and confirm that it fits. We’ve already done so, so we’re going to go ahead and remove the protective film from both sides of the windshield.
Now we’re going to grab our bulb seal. We want to position it so that the bulb is facing up with the curve of the windshield facing up as well. This will be the inside of the windshield. Starting on one edge, we’re going to run the bulb seal along the entire edge of the windshield. Once we reach the opposite side, we’ll cut off the excess.
If you have a roof on your machine, you’ll want to loosen the hardware and either remove it or slide it back out of the way. We’ll just move our roof back to make space for the windshield installation.
Next, grab the windshield and lay it onto the machine. The top holes of the windshield will line up with the holes on the cage. Secure the windshield using the provided hardware. Insert the hardware through the holes and start the nuts on the bottom side, but don’t fully tighten them yet.
Grab your clamps and take the strap, sliding it through the slot in the windshield first, then wrapping it around the cage. Slide the strap through the clamp and feed it back through the notch in the windshield. You may need to reposition your windshield from side to side to get the clamp to lay correctly on the cage. Repeat this process for all clamps on both sides of the windshield.
With all clamps in place, go ahead and tighten down the hardware at the top using a 4 mm Allen wrench and a 10 mm wrench. Once the top hardware is secure, fully tighten all the clamps to ensure the windshield is firmly attached to the machine. So that’s all there is to it to install Super ATV’s full windshield on this Can-Am Commander.
