[0:00] Introduction – Upgrade Your CFMOTO UForce 1000

Looking to take your CFMOTO UForce 1000 to the next level? SuperATV has just what you need. In this video, we’re walking through the complete installation of SuperATV’s headache rack, built for strength, functionality, and trail-readiness. Whether you’re working on the farm or heading deep into the woods, this rack adds durability and convenience to your machine.

[0:29] Welcome to Grease the Wheels with Braden Adams

Welcome back to Grease the Wheels, hosted by Braden Adams. Today’s garage project is all about getting hands-on with the SuperATV headache rack install for the CFMoto UForce 1000. Braden introduces the product and gives a quick overview of what to expect before diving straight into the first step.

[0:49] Step 1 – Install the Accessory Anchors

Start your install by grabbing the accessory anchors from the kit. Loosen the hardware on the anchors, slide the tab into the groove so it sits flush, then drop it down into place on the bed of the UForce. Once the anchor is in place, rotate it down so the lip tucks under the groove, then fully tighten. Repeat this process for the remaining anchor points, one notch on the driver’s side and two on the passenger side.

[1:27] Step 2 – Remove Factory Tie-Down Brackets

Next, remove the factory tie-down brackets. Use a socket to pull the two bolts holding each bracket in place. Once removed, set the tie-downs aside for reuse later in the install. This opens up the mounting locations needed for the headache rack hardware.

[1:37] Step 3 – Install Rack Side Panels

Position the driver-side headache rack panel so the mounting holes align with the threaded holes on your accessory anchors. Take four M10x25mm hex head bolts from the kit and thread them into the anchors. Tighten these bolts by hand for now—no need to crank them down until all parts are aligned. Move to the passenger side and repeat the process to install the second panel.

[1:56] Step 4 – Reinstall Factory Tie-Down Brackets

Grab your factory tie-down bracket and line it up with the holes on the newly installed headache rack side panel. Use the supplied M8x25mm bolts to secure it. Again, keep the hardware loose for now to allow for final adjustment. Repeat this on the opposite side of the UForce 1000.

[2:18] Step 5 – Join the Rack Halves

Use a 4mm Allen wrench and the supplied clamp to connect the two side panels together. This forms the solid rear structure of the headache rack. Secure it with the provided M5 bolts and nylock nuts, then head to the other side and repeat the same process.

[2:44] Step 6 – Mount the Stopping Bracket

Locate the mounting holes where the factory hardware was removed and position the stopping bracket. Use the factory tie-down, secure it with the provided M8 bolts, and leave it loose for now. Then grab a bushing and matching M5 hardware (same as used earlier) and install it in the hole to allow the rack to pivot smoothly.

[3:12] Step 7 – Install Rack Bushings

Slide the rack bushings into the side mounting brackets. Insert one on the inside and one on the outside to allow for smooth operation. These bushings provide pivot points for the headache rack when opening or adjusting. Do the same for both sides of the rack.

[3:35] Step 8 – Attach the Rack to the Side Brackets

With the rack resting on top of the UForce 1000’s bed, carefully lower it into the brackets. Align the holes and insert the long M10 bolts through the rack and bushings. Be careful not to knock the bushings out of place. Once aligned, slide in the bolt and thread the nut by hand. Repeat the process on the opposite side.

[4:16] Step 9 – Tighten Mounting Hardware

Now that all hardware is in place, begin tightening the bolts that connect the main rack to the brackets. Be careful not to overtighten—keep the pivot points snug enough to eliminate rattling but loose enough to move when needed. A ratchet can help you dial in just the right tension.

[4:41] Step 10 – Adjust Pins and Quick-Release Mounts

Insert the quick-release pins into the mounting holes and align the tabs on the tie-downs to secure them. This is your final hardware set—use a 3mm Allen to tighten the M6 bolt and lock everything in. Check both sides to ensure the pins are secure and the movement is smooth before tightening everything down.

[5:28] Step 11 – Apply Edge Seal for Smooth Tailgate Contact

Grab the edge seal from your kit and cut short lengths—about 1–4 inches each. Apply the edge seal to the contact area where the tailgate will close against the rack. This prevents metal-on-metal contact and ensures a smooth, secure fit when the tailgate is closed.

[5:51] Final Step – Tighten, Adjust, and Finish Up

Go over the entire install and tighten all remaining hardware. Ensure the rack is properly adjusted and securely fastened. That’s all there is to it! You’ve now installed the SuperATV Headache Rack on your CFMOTO UForce 1000—a rugged and reliable upgrade for serious off-road performance.
