What’s up guys, Braden here with SuperATV. Today, we’re going to be showing you how to install SuperATV’s inner fender guards on this Can-Am Maverick R.

Removing Existing Hardware [0:17]

The first step is to remove the existing hardware from the inner fender well. You need to remove bolts from the specified locations: here, here, here, here, and here. Go ahead and remove all that hardware to proceed to the next step.

Drilling Out Rivets [0:33]

In this step, you need to go to the bottom of the inner fender where there are three rivets that need to be drilled out. Grab a drill and let’s get started.

Drilling Tips: In these locations, you will find factory rivets. When you start to drill them, they often start to spin. To prevent this, you can pry something between the panel and the rivet to apply downward pressure while drilling. Drill straight through the center of the rivet, and usually, it will break right off. If the head is stuck and only the top part comes off, use a small punch to knock out the center of the rivet. This piece will go up into the frame without any issues.

Find a drill bit that fits right in the center of the rivet. Drill it all the way through, applying downward pressure if it starts to spin. If you can’t get it out, knock it out with a punch. As you can see, we have already drilled out all three rivets and are ready to proceed to the next step.

Installing Inner Fender Guard [2:30]

Positioning and Securing: Now, grab the inner fender guard and M6 Allen bolts with a 4 mm Allen head. Lay the inner fender guard into position using the factory screw holes that we previously removed hardware from. Line it up properly and start threading the bolts into the factory threaded holes. Use a socket to run the bolts up slightly to ensure they are started correctly but leave them loose enough to allow repositioning if needed.

Securing Lower Hardware: Next, take the T30 pan head screws with a flat washer from the hardware kit. Insert these screws into the holes where the rivets were previously located. These screws will self-tap into the hole. Get them close to the holes, then use an impact tool, push hard, and they will start to bite into the material. Once one screw is started, continue with the remaining screws to ensure a secure fit.

Tightening Hardware: After securing the lower hardware, move to the top and tighten all the 4 mm Allen bolts. Ensure that the inner fender guard is properly positioned, and all the hardware is securely tightened.

Final Steps [4:17]

Once all your hardware is in and fully tightened on one side, repeat the same steps for the opposite side. This ensures that both sides of your Can-Am Maverick R are equally protected with the inner fender guards. That’s all there is to it for installing SuperATV’s inner fender guards on this Can-Am Maverick R. Be sure to check the description below to pick yours up today.
