[0:00] What’s up guys? Today we’re going to install SuperATV’s Inner Fender Guards on this Honda Talon X4. Let’s get right to it.

Remove Pins from the Stock Fender Guard

The first thing we’ll do is remove the following push pins. Then we’ll remove all of the push pins that are coming from the inside to the outside. What I like to do is take a screwdriver and push the centers of the pin in. Then just pop them straight through the hole.

They’ll end up laying on the inside of the machine, on the floorboard. Just go inside and pick them up after you’re done with the install.

For the rest of them, we have this push pin removal tool. Just grab hold of the push pin and pull it out. Do this for all of the other push pins. Then remove this panel, and we’ll go ahead and set that aside.

Install the Clip Nut

[1:52] Now we’ll come right here and remove this push pin as well. It’s the same process, we’re just using our push pin removal tool. Take the clip nut back behind and line it up with this hole. Line a screwdriver up with the hole the best you can, so it should look just like that.

Once your armor panel is installed to the machine, you’ll have a hole here. That will be where the clip net goes. We’ll take the long Allen-headed bolt that’s in the kit, slide it through, and then fasten it to that clip nut.

[2:38] You have two short Allens. The short Allens will go through this hole here, as well as this hole over here. Then they’ll go inside the machine. Take the Nyloc nut that’s provided in the kit. On the inside of the machine, you’ll take this nut and thread it here as well as here.

For this screw, do the same thing with the Nyloc. Then, down here on the bottom side of your panel, you’ll notice there are two holes.

In your kit, you’ll have four self-tapping screws with four flat washers. Take your flat washer and install it to your self-tapping screw. Then install the self-tapper to the frame rail.

Mount the Front Fender Guard

[3:19] Now we’ll take our guard and slide it into position. Line it up with our clip nut. We’ll take our long Allen that’s provided in the kit and start it on the clip nut. I like to go ahead and run it in quite a bit by hand. That way it will stay in place for us while we install the rest of the hardware.

So just let it lay there for a second now. We’ll grab our short Allens and open the door to the machine. You’ll have to reach through to the inside of the machine and start the nut.

Once this screw is started, we’ll get our panel in place. Line up the hardware and slide it through to the inside of the machine. Then come to the inside and start your machine. Do the same thing to this hole over here.

Tighten All Hardware

[5:05] Then we’ll fully tighten all of our fasteners. Once your hardware is fully tightened on this side, repeat the same exact steps for the opposite side.

Once all of your hardware is tightened, that’s all there is to installing SuperATV’s Inner Fender Guards on this Honda Talon 1000. Be sure to check us out online to pick yours up today! And don’t forget to drop a like, comment, and subscribe. Thanks for watching and we’ll catch you on the next one.
