Are you looking for some inner fender protection for your Polaris XP Turbo? SuperATV has you covered with our inner fender armor panels, and today we’re gonna show you how to get ’em installed. Let’s get right to it.
[00:18] First, remove the fenders from each side of the machine. We’re gonna start on the driver’s side and remove the driver’s side fender to give us a little bit more room.
Get the fender out of the way. Set it aside and come to the reservoir bracket. Remove this 15mm bolt.
Careful—there’ll be a washer on the backside. Then we’re gonna get the driver side bracket and slide the bolt to the side with one hole.
It looks something just like this. Get the hardware back through, then reach around to the opposite side and start the nut.
[01:33] If you’re running a SuperATV skid plate, you’re gonna have this splash guard installed right here. Remove these from both sides.
After you’ve done that, grab the inner fender armor panel and start getting it laid into position.
Pull the plastic out a little bit and work it around. Once you have it lined up all the way around reach through each of these holes. Put a paint mark on all of them.
You’ll have one that’s back here, but we’ll do that one last once we have a couple bolts in. Now we’re ready to remove the panel and start drilling.
[02:24] Now that we have all of the holes drilled except for one, we’re gonna reinstall it. Slide it into position.
Get one piece of hardware in the frame and use this hole to hold the panel in position.
[02:59] Now we’re gonna install all of the hardware, except for the bottom bolt. We’re gonna snug everything up a little bit to hold it in place. When we get all of the hardware in, we know the armor panel’s not going to move.
We’re gonna pull this out, and we’re drill right through into the frame to make sure that it’s all lined up perfectly.
So for this last one, we decided to go bolt everything up and get this plastic out of the way.
If you had somebody to help you they could hold it, but instead, we took the hammer. We shoved it in there to give us enough room to drill a hole in the frame.
[03:44] Then put the last bolt in and fully tighten it. Remove the hammer. Take the longest bracket, the longest hardware in the kit, with a couple nyloc nuts, and bolt the armor panel to the driver bracket.
Now, we’re gonna fully tighten the hardware that secures the driver bracket to the armor panel. Do that to both sides.
We’re gonna fully tighten the factory hardware that we previously removed. And you can tighten it right through this little hole right here.
[04:31] The next step is similar to the opposite side, with one exception being we don’t have the bracket to install. We just have these two holes that are gonna line up on the frame rail.
We’re gonna get it lined up, and get it in place. Mark the holes, drill ’em, and then install the hardware.
Once you’ve fully tightened all the hardware, that’s all there is to installing SuperATV’s Polaris RZR XP 1000 Inner Fender Guards on this Polaris RZR XP Turbo.

I just purchased these guards and watched your video and looks very easy, the question I have is what size drill bit are you using for the bolt screwing into the round tubing ?
Hey Rusty! We are using a 5.5 mm drill bit. Thanks for checking in with us!
