What’s up, guys? Today we’re going to be how easy it is to install SuperATV’s Rear Windshield on the Polaris RZR Pro XP. So let’s get right to it.
The first thing you’ll want to do if you have a roof installed on your machine is to go ahead and remove the top and set it aside for the time being. We’ve already done this.
After that, you’ll want to lay the rear windshield upon your machine to confirm that it fits. Then you’ll want to remove your protective film from both sides of your windshield.
You’ll want to take the bulb seal out of the kit and apply it across the lower portion of the windshield on this side. You will start on this edge and run it across to the opposite side’s edge.
Once you get to this point, you’ll cut off the extra.
So now we’re going to grab our bulb seal, and we’re going to install to where the bulb portion is facing up and away from this bend right here. The seal will go on just like this—start it right here on this edge, and we’re going to run it down and cut off the extra.
Before we can install our windshield, we will have to remove the T40 torx-headed screws that secure the fender to the machine. Let’s take the hardware out. Once you’ve removed this screw, you will also remove the T40 screw here. This will allow us to remove the fender from the way enough to install the windshield.
So with the passenger fender loose on your machine, if you didn’t have a snorkel installed, you’d be able to slide the windshield right between this bar and this bar.
Since we have a snorkel, we’ll have to slide it in from the back and bow the windshield to get it into place. It’s a little more complicated, but you can do this if you have a snorkel installed.
So we got our windshield in. We had to approach it differently because we have a snorkel installed. But you want to ensure that it’s sitting below the cage bar, and your bulb seals hitting this tube and that tube across the bottom just like this.
The next step is to take your clamp and pop it into the windshield, and you’re going to clamp wrap it around and fully fasten it.
And then do the same thing over here, this cut out. You’ll pop it through the windshield, then take your clamp and strap. You’re going to run it through the clamp. It should look like this. You’ll pull it around the cage bar and tighten it down.
Then we’re going to come over to the sides of the windshield—take our strap, slide it through, reach around the tube, grab it, pull it all the way around, and tighten it down. This will make sure the windshield is secured to the cage.
We’re going to do the same steps for the opposite side.
The next thing we’ll be doing is going inside the machine. There are going to be two T40 torx that’s that securing the plastic on the machine. We’ll put them through the bottom holes of our bracket. Once your bracket is in place, we’ll take the hardware in the kit and put it into place.
As you can see, we have a big ceiling washer that will come through the rear windshield through this bracket. Then we’re going to take one of our nylock nuts, start on one side, and tighten it.
Now we’re going to head over to the machine and get to it.
After that, you can fully tighten the two T40 torx we previously removed. Once fully tightened, they will tighten the allen headed screws coming through the back side of the windshield.
