Hey everybody. Today I’m gonna be showing you how to install SuperATV’s LED cubelights as well as the pulse plug for the Polaris Ranger.
First, remove the hood from the machine and set it aside. Then remove all the pushpins securing the upper portion of the dash. Go through and pull all these out. Pull the two on top of the dash cluster here. Once we have them all removed from the top portion up here, get inside the machine. There’s gonna be one located right here directly down underneath of the grab handle. Then open up the storage compartment and there are four T25 screws. Once you remove those four screws, remove the storage compartment and sit it out out of the way. Then remove the two pushpins inside of here. On the opposite side, there’s one pushpin located in the same exact location. Once you take the instrument cluster out, there are two push pins located here and here. Get those out real quick. Don’t completely remove the dash, just remove that hardware. That way we can pop it up whenever we install the wiring.
Now we’re going to start getting our brackets mounted up to our cube lights. This is gonna be the final product here. We’re going to have our Pro-Fit cage mount, the mount provided with the cube light, and the hardware provided with the mount. It’ll go on the machine just like this. Then tuck the wiring behind the dash. Next, grab the cube light and the bracket provided in the cube light kit. Grab the hardware here and slip it through the bracket. Slip your bolt through just enough so it stays in the bracket. Then grab a magnet or a screwdriver with a magnet then take your nut and slide it right down into the channel here. Once you get it in the channel, take the provided allen wrench and start threading it into the nut. Do the same thing for the opposite side. Leave the bracket loose enough that we can rotate it around whichever way you want. We’ve already done all this for the other cube light.

Now we’re going to start doing some wiring. Pull out the dummy plug on the pulse bus bar and plug in the new SuperATV pulse plug. Make sure it snaps in really good. Now we have the wiring leads here and we’re just going to leave those out for the time being. Grab the harness and locate the portion of the harness that has the rocker switch on it. Leave this part right here. Undo the connection. Now go inside the machine and there are two push pins on the bottom of the rocker switch panel here and here. Pull the rocker switch panel out and we’ll take our harness run it up through just like this. Take a rocker switch and pop it right into the cutout on the dash. Pick up the dash cluster and go on the back side where there’s going to be a connector to where you can unplug it. Unplug it and set it aside. Pop the top portion of the dash up and let it lay back just like this. That way we can see back in here when we start feeding our wires.

Grab the harness and find the leads that are going to connect to our cube lights. They have connectors on it like this. Go back behind the dash and run a connector to each side. Look for our hot and ground leads here and run them through the grommet and the day. Make sure whenever we start pulling this through that we pull our fuse through as well or we’re not gonna have enough room to make our connections. We got it pulled forward there enough to where we can make the connections. Leave those leads sitting just like that. Take the clamp and loosen the hardware. Mount it right here on our roll cage. Get it run up by hand and then grab a ratchet and fully tighten it.
Grab our cube light as well as the M8 hardware and M8 lock washer that’s in the hardware kit. Mount it up like this. Take a bolt and lock washer and slide it through the hole here. Get that lined up and once we have it in the position where we want it, we’ll tighten up this bolt. Then make the connection. Make sure that it snaps like that. Then we’ll repeat the same steps for the opposite side.

Run the rocker switch plug down below the dash, then make the connection. Take all the excess wiring that we have and bundle it up like this then zip tie it all together loosely. Cut off the excess and tuck it straight back into the dash. Now put the lower portion of the rocker switch panel back on. Lift our dash up go pull it out of the way. If you’d like to, go ahead and remove it. Do the same thing with the excess wiring for the leads for cubes pretty. Just loosely bundle it up with a zip tie. Over here for the opposite side, go through bundle the wiring up. You can bundle it or you could cut it down if you’d like.
06:47
Now the only thing that’s left is to wire up the pulse and bus bar. With the relay for your cube lights, you can mount this anywhere you’d like. Just make sure that the plug is facing down, so if it does get wet, the water runs out of it and doesn’t stay in it. Take a self-tapping screw or use the little factory screws and remove it or put it in the place of it or whatever you’d like to do.
We’re gonna be wiring the cube lights to a keyed-on power source so we’re gonna be using the brown which will be the ground and then orange which will be our 12-volt keyed-on power source. In the kit we send you all kinds of different connectors. Today we’re going to use the blade connectors to connect these. We’ll set the connectors down right here. Get a pair of side cuts and we’ll cut this connection off. Make sure the wires are twisted nice and tight so it goes into the connector nice and easily. Slide it up in the connector like that. Crimp it down and make sure it made a solid connection. Then we’ll go over here to our brown wire and strip it down. Take our black wire, our ground, and connect it to the brown on our pulse plug. Now go red to orange and then go inside to check them. Now that we know that our cube lights work, go through double check all our connections. Reinstall the upper portion of our dash and our hood and make sure ll the hardware it’s fully tightened.

What did you do with the third wire for constant power on the plug that wasn’t used coming off the pulse bar?
Kenny, the 3rd wire isn’t used for the install, but it will still have power to it. All you need to do is cup and cap that wire, then fold it up and out of the way. Thanks for tuning in!
