What’s up, guys? Today we’re going to show you how quick and easy it is to install SuperATV’s cargo box on the Polaris RZR Pro R in two main steps. Let’s get right to it.

1) Remove the Hardware

Start by removing the four bolts that hold the cargo bed in place.

Brandon uses a Milwaukee drill to remove all the OEM hardware holding the cargo area down.
Keep the bolts for later.

Once all the hardware is removed, remove the bed just far enough to reach the backside. There’s a clip on the backside. If you remove the hardware all the way, the clip will fall out, potentially falling between the motor and transmission where you won’t be able to get it back easily.

Brandon gently tugs on the plastic frame to wiggle it out of place to begin working on it.
Go slow and be cautious not to lose the clip.

Locate the back side of the clip and put your thumb on it to hold it in place. Then use a socket to remove the hardware. Remember to hold the clip the entire time because it will fall if you don’t.

Brandon uses both hands and a drill to remove the hardware, all while holding onto a clip on the back.
Keep a firm grip on the clip the whole time.

Now take one of the short allens included in the kit and the passenger side bracket. Align the bracket with the factory hole on the bed.

Brandon installs a black bracket over the OEM hole that he just removed the hardware from.
Align the bracket with the factory hole.

Take the factory D-ring and washer, put the bolt through the washer and bolt, and insert it through the hole in the bracket.

Brandon reinstalls the factory D-ring to the hole.
Are you still holding the clip? Don’t forget the clip!

Slide the hardware through the bracket and continue holding the clip. Then tighten the hardware, but not fully.

Brandon uses a drill to loosely tighten the hardware to hold it in place.
Loosely tighten the hardware to give yourself some wiggle room.

Once you’ve done that, adjust the D-ring where you like it and tighten it the rest of the way. Make sure the bracket is flush with the section that is notched out on the bed. Repeat the same steps on the other side.

2) Install the Cargo Box

Once you have your rearmost brackets installed, you’ll slide the bed back into place. Reinstall the uppermost T40 hardware. Don’t tighten them fully—you may need a little bit of flex. Now take the cargo box and set it into place.

Brandon slides the cargo box into the bed area and begins to align it with the brackets.
You’re almost done!

Then fasten the cargo box to the rearmost brackets that you just installed a moment ago.

Next, take the thumb screw, the lock washer, and the flat washer. Install the lock washer and then the flat washer to the thumb screw.

Brandon slides two washers onto a thumb screw.
Thumb screw, lock washer, flat washer.

Slide the thumb screw, lock washer, and flat washer combo through the hole in the bracket that you previously installed. Line that up with the hole on the cargo box. Then repeat the same steps for the opposite side.

Now get the rest of the hardware. There will be four thumb screws and two small M6 bolts. Take the thumb screw and slide it through the bracket. You can tell this thumb screw is for the passenger’s side because of the way it’s shaped. Line it up with the holes on the cargo box. Take the bolt, get it started into the factory location, then fully tighten the thumb screw. Do the same thing on the opposite side.

Brandon installs the thumb screw into the hole in the bracket to secure the cargo box in place.
Go ahead and fully tighten the thumb screw.

Once you’ve fully tightened all your remaining hardware, you’re done! That’s all there is to it to install SuperATV’s cargo box on a Polaris RZR Pro R. Don’t forget to check out the rest of our awesome gear for your RZR. See you on the trail!
