[0:00] What’s up guys? Today we are going to show you how to install SuperATV’s Polaris Ranger XP 1000 Sliding Rear Windshield. Let’s get right to it.
[00:28] The first thing you’ll do whenever you remove the rear windshield from the packaging is to lay it on the machine to confirm that it fits. We’ve already done that, so we’re going to remove the protective film from both sides of the rear windshield.
[00:53] Now that we’ve confirmed that the windshield fits and removed the protective film from both sides, we will apply the bulb seal. Make sure you apply the bulb portion of the seal facing up, towards the inside. You know this is the inside because that’s where our latch is for the sliding rear window.
[01:09] Start on this edge and run the seal along it. Cut off the excess and then run a piece all the way around and back to this point. Go ahead and cut off the excess here.
[01:45] When you get to this point, cut off the excess again.
[02:06] Go back through and make sure the bulb is fully sealed just like that. Now take your next piece and run it all the way around to the opposite side. Once you get here, cut off the excess. Go back through and make sure the bulb is firmly sealed all the way around the rear windshield.
[02:52] Now take the brackets out of the included kit, the short Allen-headed hardware, and the nuts. Next, attach the brackets to the rear windshield just like that. Take one of the nuts and get it started. There will be two pieces of hardware per bracket. Ensure the head is coming from the outside, facing inward. Repeat this for all four brackets. Then you will slide the rear windshield onto the machine.
[04:41] Now take the brace and lay it on the windshield like this. This is the outer portion of the windshield so it’s going to face towards the rear of the machine. Line it up like this. Use the long Allen-headed hardware that’s in the kit and the large flat washer. Slide it through like this.
[05:09] Take the small, flat washer and put it on the back of the rear windshield. Then use a Nyloc nut and get it started. Do the same thing on the opposite side. Once you have it started, fully tighten the hardware.
[06:10] Now take the rear windshield and install it on the machine. Make sure the brackets you previously installed are still loose. They go over the rear section of the cage.
[06:33] Now go to the hardware that you just tightened. It secures the upper bracket to the rear windshield. The bolt threads should protrude through this point right here. Apply pressure, then take the thumb screw and install it to the threads like this. Do the same thing on the opposite side. Fully tighten this side until the windshield is making good contact with the cage.
[07:19] Once you’ve fully tightened all the hardware, that’s all there is to it. It’s super easy to install SuperATV’s Polaris Ranger XP 1000 Sliding Rear Windshield. Make sure to check us out on SuperATV.com and make sure to like, comment, and subscribe. We’ll catch you on the next one!
