Hey everybody. Today we’re going to be installing a spare tire carrier on this Can-Am Maverick X3. So let’s get started.
First, remove the four allen-head screws connecting the lower portion of the clamp to the spare tire carrier. Then place the spare tire carrier onto the center bar here on the machine. Open the hardware pack and get out two bolts and nylock nuts. Insert the bolts from the back facing inward through the holes in the cage of the machine and through the holes on the spare tire carrier. Start your nut from the inside. Then repeat these steps for the opposite side.
Grab the lower half of the clamp and hardware and attach it to the spare tire carrier. Don’t tighten any of this hardware yet. Just run it down far enough so that it stays in place. Next, fully tighten the bolts in the upper portion of the spare tire carrier. Now tighten the allen headed screws on the lower section in a cross pattern.
Now you can mount your spare tire. Once it’s lined up, take the provided lug nuts and get them started. Makes sure they’re all straight then tighten them down. There’s no need to get them super tight, just make sure it’ll stay in place.
And there you have it. That’s how super quick and easy it is to install SuperATV’s spare tire carrier to a Can-Am Maverick X3. For more information on this spare tire carrier or any of SuperATV’s great products, give us a call at 855-743-3427, or check us out online at SuperATV.com.
