What’s up, guys? Braden here with SuperATV and today we’re going to show you how to install SuperATV’s Sport Accessory Bar on this Can-Am Defender. Let’s get right to it.

Install Driver’s Side Hardware

[0:30] We’re starting on the driver’s side. We’re going to grab the driver’s side portion of our accessory bar. Line it up with the cutouts in the bed on the rear, as well as here and here.

In the hardware kit, you’re going to notice that you have bolts, nuts, and washers. You’ll have a bolt that will drop down through, and you’re going to reach under on the bottom side and line your washer up. Once you get your washer in, you’re gonna grab one of your nuts.

Let’s go ahead and get our bolt started in the nut. Do that here.

Now we’re going to take our washer, our bolt, and our nut again and go right through here, at this location. Drop the washer down, grab our nut, and get it started. Same thing—grab your washer, slide it up into position, and grab your bolt. Drop it in and take your nut.

Now we’re going to the opposite side to repeat the same exact steps.

Thread in the Studs

[2:01] Like I said, we’re going to repeat the exact same steps for this side over here.

Now we’re going to take our stud and thread it into the tube here. Start it right in. Then you want to grab a 22 mm wrench and fully tighten it.

Then we’re going to do the same thing over here on this side. Take your wrench and fully tighten this one as well. Again, just make sure you pull it tight.

Now we have to thread our studs into our cross tube as well.

Install the Clamps

[3:29] Now we’re going to grab our clamps out of the kit. You’ll want to remove the hardware and separate them. We’re going to grab our cross tube and couple it to our bracket. Take the upper portion, that has the screws in it, and start the screws down into the clamp.

Once we have them all started we can go ahead and snug them down. What we’ll do is come over here to this side and move them together. Install our clamps, then we’ll go to the outside and fully tighten all of our hardware.

Get them to couple together there. Now we have the upper portion of our clamp in, and we’ll get all of our hardware started.

About the Modular Mounting System

[4:39] Next we’ll get our brackets lined up with the edge of the bed, then fully tighten our hardware.

As you can see, on your sport accessory bar, you have a full modular mounting system on it. At SuperATV.com we offer the Sport Accessory Bar Rack, and we’re going to show you how to install this rack.

I highly recommend that you have someone help you hold it in place as you get your hardware started. We have Eric helping us today. What he’s going to do is just hold this up here. We’re going to start some hardware through it, get our nuts started, and then start to couple it together.

I like to start four or five of them—that way it doesn’t fall down.

Install the Center Portion of the Rack

[6:12] Alright, once we have some hardware started, we’re going to take the center portion of the rack’s slotted end to this side. Then go to the other side and get our hardware started as well.

Now we’re going to grab the center section and slip it into that outside portion we just installed. We’re gonna grab the other side and attach it as well.

Install Center Hardware

[7:18] As you can see, it can be just a little bit tricky to slide these together and orient them exactly how they’re supposed to be. But once you do, you’ll want to go ahead and install the rest of your hardware on the outside of your accessory bar going into your shelf.

Next, we’re going to show you where you need to install your hardware in the center of the shelf. Where the center of the shelf lines up with the outer portion of the shelf, you’re going to take a bolt and stick it down through the shelf, just like so.

Then, on the bottom side, you’re going to take a flat washer as well as a Nylock nut, and you’re going to install four bolts per side. Now we’re going to go through and fully tighten all hardware.

Once you’ve fully tightened all of your hardware, that’s all there is to installing SuperATV’s Sport Accessory Bar and Shelf on this Can-Am Defender. Be sure to check us out online to pick yours up today. Thanks for watching and we’ll catch you on the next one.
