What’s up guys, today we’re going to be showing you how to use Assault Industries belt replacement tool on this Polaris Razor Turbo S. While we’re in there removing our belt, we’re going to upgrade to a G-Boost World’s Best Belt. So, let’s head over to the machine and get right to it.
We have our machine up on the lift with the wheel and tire removed from the driver’s side. You don’t have to do this, but we are doing it to better show you how to utilize this tool on your machine. All of this can be done trailside with minimal tools.
The first thing I like to do is below the belt cover off and the whole area around the belt cover. This ensures that when we remove it, we won’t get any mud, dirt, or debris inside the clutches. So, we’ll blow it all off and then remove our tubes.
Using a flat head screwdriver, remove the clamp and the old scraper tube. Rotate it out of the way or pull it down and remove it. Next, take an 8mm socket on a wobble and start removing all of the clutch cover hardware. Some bolts may require a wobble to access. Once all the bolts are removed, the clutch cover will come right off. Blow out the clutch cover and clutches thoroughly. This step is crucial in a shop setting to ensure everything is clean but might not be feasible trailside.

Remove the 15mm bolt from the secondary clutch. Grab the special nut and flat washer from the kit. Remove the factory washer from your hardware, slide it through the special nut, and thread it back into the secondary clutch. Snug it up.
Insert the positioning flange into the holes on the secondary clutch. Turn the tool so the rollers face the clutch, and thread it into the special nut. Pull out on the tool to release the tension from the belt. Remove the belt from the secondary clutch.
Disengage the tool and slide the belt around it, then remove it from the primary clutch. If you’re in a shop, take this opportunity to clean the clutches thoroughly. Use Scotch Brite and brake clean to clean the sheaves on both the primary and secondary clutches.
Spray the sheaves with brake clean and wipe them down with Scotch Brite. Inspect the clutches for any grooves or wear. Clean the clutches thoroughly to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the new belt.
Install the new World’s Best Belt from G-Boost. Position the belt tool to get the belt around it. Ensure the belt is properly seated on the primary and secondary clutches. Work the belt onto the clutches by rolling it down the secondary clutch.
Remove the tool and reinstall the 15mm bolt with the factory washer. Torque it to the manufacturer’s specifications. Rotate the secondary clutch counterclockwise until the belt rides all the way up. Clean the clutch cover thoroughly before reinstalling it.
Align the clutch cover properly and start all the hardware by hand before tightening. Reinstall the intake tube for the exhaust or clutch cover and tighten the clamp. Ensure all components are securely fastened.
