What’s up, guys? Today we’re going to be installing SuperATV’s Scratch-Resistant Flip Windshield on this Polaris RZR Turbo R in nine steps.

1. Remove Contents from Packaging

The first thing you’ll do is remove all the contents from your packaging. Then you’re going to want to make sure you take your windshield, lay it on your machine, and confirm that it fits.

2. Take off the Protective Film on Both Sides

Next, you’ll remove the protective film on both sides of your windshield. After you’ve done that, you’re going to need to grab your bulb seal.

3. Install the Bulb Seal

This is the outside of the windshield. It will be facing toward the front of the machine. You want to ensure the seal’s bold portion is facing inside the machine.

Take your bulb seal and start at this point. You’re going to run it all the way around and stop at this point on the opposite side of the windshield, then cut off the excess.

Next, we will take this straight seal, run it over to the opposite, and cut the excess off again. Once you get to this point, cut off your excess for the third time.

4. Attach Clamps to the Top of the Cage

Now we’re going to grab your clamp. Before you can do anything with it, you’ll need to remove its small hardware. We’ll open the clamp, lay it on the cage, and start the hardware back in the clamp. Wait to tighten anything yet fully.

Now you’re going to take another clamp—the driver’s side. You want to make sure the bracket is facing down during installation. The clamp should wrap around the cage, and you should insert the hardware like before.

The next step is to remove the hardware from the roof. Take these clamps and wrap them around the cage. You will have to bend them back to where they need to be. Both sides get a clamp.

5. Place the Windshield on Your Machine

You’ll take your windshield, lay it on the machine, and let it rest on the dash.

6. Install Clamps to the Windshield

Take your short M6 hardware and ceiling washer and place them through your windshield into your clamp. Wait to tighten anything just yet fully.

Repeat the same steps for the opposite side.

Now, you must ensure the clamp is wrapped around the tube on your cage. Take your M6X30 and place it through the top hole. Then we’re going to line the clamp up with hardware and put an M6 nut on the backside.

7. Attach Handle Clamps to the Windshield

Next, you will need your handle support, bracket, and handle. Take your handle support and lay it like this on the windshield. It’ll sit there. Then take your handle and the handle bracket and orient it like so.

Repeat the same steps on the opposite side.

Now you will take your catch and install it to this bracket. You’ll use the hardware that came in the blister pack with the catch and the handle.

Next, you’ll go to the other side and repeat the same step.

8. Install the D-Seal and Tighten Clamps and Hardware

It’s time to flip your windshield up and install the D-seal. It will go on this lip right here all the way across. Once you get to this point, you’ll rip the rest off and flip your windshield down.

Fully tighten all of your clamps.

Now you’ll need to tighten these to bolts on both sides thoroughly. Attach your gas strut next. Install them on the lower section first, then open your windshield and line the strut up with this bracket. After you have that set, you’ll fully tighten your hardware again.

Next, you need to tighten the lower clamps on both sides. They need to be as flat as possible.
To finish this install, you need to close your windshield and identify where to set the rest of your clamps. You want it to be as straight as possible where your handle is. You’re going to set it straight, then tighten the hardware.

9. Adjust Clamps for Proper Placement

With a flip windshield, you have to set them, so you will have to pull hard to latch them. If you do this, you’ll get the best deal possible without having any rattles. To do this, you’ll need to sit this in position and adjust it as needed. You’ll know it’s in the correct position when it’s snug and tight.

After you finish this side, you’ll need to do it on the opposite.

It’s that simple—that’s all there is to installing SuperATV’s Flip Windshield on this Polaris RZR Turbo R. Be sure to check the description below or stroll over to our RZR page to check out our other upgrades.
