Welcome to another episode of 2-Minute Tech Talk. Today’s topic is Portal Blood.

We’ve seen a lot of comments online: “Is this stuff the real deal, or is it just a gimmick?” You can see here in front of me, I have three containers. One with standard gear oil, one with premium gear oil, and one with Portal Blood. We also added water to each container and we’re going to shake these up and show you how the oil mixes with the water. And then how well they separate. Let’s get started.

00:45
While we wait on this stuff to separate, let’s check out this real nice 4-inch GDP Portal with a 30% gear reduction, a clear lid, and filled up with Portal Blood. You can see with the gears in motion that the portal blood clings tenaciously to the gears and never flings off. In return, it’s going to keep your bearings and gears running cooler while also inhibiting rust and corrosion. It can’t get much better than that.

So, after giving these three containers a little time to settle and separate, you can see that the standard gear oil did not do great. It is still very murky and in all the testing we’ve done, it never fully separates.

Here you can see the premium gear oil. It did a decent job. The water’s still rather murky, but it did separate pretty well for a premium price.

Here in the middle we have the Portal Blood. As you can see, it’s separated the best, the water’s the clearest, and it did a very good job of separating. So with Portal Blood, if you were to get water in there, you’re able to pull your drain plug out until you see any water running out, let it all run out, stick your plug back in there, and fill your portal back up with Portal Blood. You’re good to go. The water’s removed out of the system. This is just a little perk that’s gonna save you a little time and money if the issue is ever to arise.

01:55
Here’s another example of how well Portal Blood cleans and climbs the gears compared to the other two oils. You can clearly see that Portal Blood aggressively climbs the gears to get lubrication to the gears and bearings quickly.

I hope this video gave you a better understanding of Portal Blood. We sell it by the bottle or by the case of six. For more information on this product, check us out online at SuperATV.com, or gives us a call at 855-743-3427. We’d be happy to help.

Go get your Portal Blood today.

So is this good for a front differential? What weight spec would this be equal to, if it is even a year oil?

Hey Jim, we’ve had customers say that it works well in the later model Can-Am Maverick X3 front differentials. However, we strictly use it for GDP portals and then use the OE recommended fluids for everything else. Thanks for tuning in!

After watching this video, I’m pretty convinced of it’s superiority over standard gear oil. My portals get water in them (I ride in deep water/mud). Although I change the oil frequently, it’s always that gray milkshake nobody likes to see. If I drain my portals, can I just put the Portal Blood in there without taking them apart to clean/rebuild? In other words, I’ll be mixing the new Portal Blood with the gray milkshake. I don’t mind doing a few changes in rapid succession if y’all think that’ll help. Let me know please. thx

Hey Steve! Thanks for reaching out and the support. A common practice is to clean it out with diesel. Drain it until that’s all that’s coming out, and then you’ll be good to fill with Portal Blood.

Interesting. Probably roll it back and forth to agitate a little then drain. I’ll check into that idea. Thanks and keep up the outstanding work! I truly enjoy every interaction and purchase with you guys. Y’all have the right recipe that every business should follow!
