What’s up guys, Braden here with Super ATV. Today I’m going to talk to you about our polycarbonate windshields. You might ask yourself why would you need to add a windshield to your machine if the manufacturer didn’t think one was necessary? The truth is, you can ride without one, but if you want the ultimate protection for you, your crew, and your cab, a windshield should be one of the first upgrades.
We’ve perfected and set the tone for aftermarket windshields. We make our windshields from polycarbonate, which is 250 times stronger than glass and 25 times stronger than acrylic. As you shop for other windshields, you’ll see that other manufacturers use different materials. Don’t be fooled. These other materials can’t handle flying trail debris, rollovers, or maintain their clarity like polycarbonate.
Polycarbonate is extremely strong on its own, but here at Super ATV, we’re always pushing the limits. We increase the durability of our poly windshields by adding our XR Optic hard coating to both sides of the windshield. This rigorous chemical process makes them scratch-resistant. You’ll be able to ride through tight trails or under low-hanging branches and come out of the other side with the crystal-clear windshield you started with. This double-sided coating also increases UV protection, which helps prevent yellowing after several years of sun exposure.
There are so many things that set our windshields apart from other poly windshields you’ll find on the market. We focus as much on the small parts as we do on the big ones. This brings us to our secure seal technology. Every windshield is cut to match the exact specifications of your machine’s frame. Then it’s paired with our heavy-duty brackets securing the windshield to the frame. Our robust seals do a lot of the work here. You can see the flexible PVC trim that seals tightly against the body of your machine. This keeps water, dust, and sand from penetrating your cab. We’ve also incorporated strong gripping tongues to keep the seal in place during extreme riding conditions. The best part is these internal metal clips. They reinforce the seal’s grip without jeopardizing its flexibility, giving you a rattle-free ride.
Every windshield is precision-engineered to blend the windshield’s usefulness with the specific requirements of each machine.
Our extensive manufacturing process for making our poly windshields consists of taking a sheet of polycarbonate and cutting it on our routing tables, then bending them on our brake press. The windshield then moves to assembly where it is kitted with the necessary hardware. Then they’re moved to a staging line where all the pre-assembled parts are added to the kit. It then heads to packaging where the hardware kit, install instructions, and the windshield itself are packaged. All the windshields are then organized for shipping and picked up by our carrier and at your doorstep in a few days.
From parts and materials to design and manufacturing, our polycarbonate windshields are made by men and women just like you. Check out the description below to find your windshield today and be sure to like, comment, and subscribe. Thanks for watching and we’ll catch you on the next one.
