From bumpers to brush guards—whatever you call them, they’re essential if you want to keep your machine looking good through all that rough riding. A quality UTV bumper protects your bodywork from hard hits on the trail, and it can also completely change the look of your machine. But as is the case with most aftermarket parts, it can be a little overwhelming when you first start shopping. There are so many options out there, so how do you know which one is right for you?

As always, SuperATV is here to make your life easier by going over your options. No matter what kind of riding you do or what kind of bumper you’re looking for—something for protection, winching, or just downright good looks—we’ve got what you need, and we’ll tell you why.

Bumper Benefits

If you’re still on the fence of whether or not you need an aftermarket bumper, let us help you by saying the answer is yes. Yes, you do need a bumper. Here are a few reasons why UTV bumpers rock and why they should always be on your “to do” list of side-by-side upgrades.

Strength and Protection

The most obvious reason why you need a bumper is for the protection it provides. UTVs are built super tough, but even the strongest machine can take a beating when you’re pitting it up against stumps and rock shelves. With a front and/or rear brush guard installed on your machine, your bodywork doesn’t have to suffer the effects of hard riding. That’s what the bumper is for.

Extra Good Looks

If you’re looking for a way to turn heads when rolling up to the ride park, this is it. Installing a bumper leads to a total overhaul of your machine’s exterior appearance. No matter which style you go with, adding some machine protection makes your ride look even more aggressive.

Do More with Confidence

Knowing your machine is protected allows you to push it even harder on the trails without worrying about busting up your front or rear end. You won’t have to back down from a trail challenge for fear of scuffing or denting your bodywork. Many bumper styles also give you multiple mounting points for add-ons and accessories, like lights and winches, letting you truly get the most out of each ride.

Tube, Sheet Metal, Winch Ready, Oh My

So once you’ve figured out whether a good UTV bumper is a worthwhile investment (spoiler alert: it is), it’s time to figure out what kind is right for you.

Tube Bumpers

Our front and rear tube bumpers are constructed out of 1.75” diameter heavy-duty steel tubing. The tube style makes your machine look pretty cool and offers total coverage to some of your machine’s most fragile parts. If you’re looking for something that’s going to protect your bodywork and keep your headlights from getting busted out in case of an unfortunate collision, a tube bumper is for you.

All of our tube bumpers are powder coated, a feature that offers UV resistance and keeps your bumper looking new no matter how many hits it endures. Most of them come in a variety of color options as well, giving you even more of an opportunity to customize and improve the look of your machine.

Sheet Metal Bumpers

If you’re looking for machine protection that offers the ultimate in brute strength, we recommend checking out our sheet metal bumpers. Each one is made of heavy-duty, powder-coated sheet metal, so this bumper’s strength will never be a question.

You can think of our sheet metal bumpers as a utility belt for your side-by-side. They come with pre-cut holes for mounting cube lights and two D-ring shackles for extra towing capabilities. And the best part? They all have built-in winch mounts! If having a winch at the ready is important to you, we recommend looking into our sheet metal bumpers.

Winch Ready Bumpers

We’re going to talk about winch ready bumpers in their own category, because while all sheet metal bumpers are winch ready, not all winch ready bumpers are sheet metal. (Are you still with us?) A few of our winch ready bumpers come in the tube style as well.

Having a bumper that can support a winch from the get-go is a beautiful thing for any rider. A winch is one of the most useful tools to have at your disposal, no matter where you ride, and purchasing a winch ready bumper just puts you one step closer to installing one on your machine.

We’ve always said the best way to be prepared while riding is to have a winch at the ready. Installing a winch ready bumper on your machine, whether at the front or the rear, puts you one step closer to getting that winch.
