We’re giving you the ultimate breakdown of the construction accessories that help make UTVs perfect for builders and craftsmen. UTVs are loved by builders, craftsmen, and construction workers for their cost, size, maneuverability, and reparability compared to trucks.

Compare: Most Popular UTVs for Construction

Below, we’ve listed some of the most popular workaholic UTVs. There’s a lot of variety out there, but all these machines have heavy-duty cargo beds and powerful towing capacity. You’ll find them wherever work is getting done, playing the part of the helpful sidekick.

Keep in mind that most working UTVs have slower top speeds than recreational UTVs and instead focus on hauling capabilities with suspensions to match.

If you’re choosing a UTV for work, here’s a few additional things to consider:

  • Are you transporting materials, crew members, or both?
  • Where will the UTV be operated? Unimproved roads? Totally off-road? Indoors or outdoors?
  • How simple/difficult is maintenance?
  • Are all the tires the same size or will you need multiple spares?
  • Are aftermarket accessories available and affordable?

These questions will help you cull the herd and pick the right UTV for your needs.

Must-Have Construction Accessories and Upgrades

No two builders do everything exactly the same. You need to customize your rig to suit your exact needs for the job at hand.

We’ve collected the best of SuperATV’s UTV construction accessories and broken them down into three main categories: storage, cab enclosure, and accessories. Let’s jump right in.

Storage

Hood Rack:

Get more out of your workhorse by making use of every inch of space. We’ve designed a heavy-duty hood rack to reclaim the unused space above the hood. It’s capable of holding up to 500 lb. and doubles as a ladder. It’s the perfect spot to toss bags of cement or mulch and it’s a great for transporting tools too.

Cargo Box/Cooler:

Everyone could use some extra storage space, especially when you’re carting around construction materials all day. Our cargo box has 30 liters of storage space for tools, parts, gear, and anything else you can think of. The best part? Just add ice and you’ve got the perfect solution to those scorching hot days on the construction site. Tool box or cooler—it’s up to you.

Bed Extender:

SuperATV’s bed extender helps you get more out of your UTV’s bed. It’s dual functioning—use it to add a few inches of bed space when you lower the tailgate or flip it to divide the bed in half. It’s built with heavy-duty steel tubing and powder coated to last for the long haul.

Chainsaw Mount:

A chainsaw is probably one of the most awkward tools to transport, especially if you’re not using it often but need to have it “just in case”. Instead of letting it roll around in the bed, give it a designated spot. Our chainsaw mount protects the blade so it doesn’t get dull or scratch your machine’s bed. It also moves the saw out of the way, freeing up more space for other cargo.

Cab Enclosure

Roof:

Not to point out the obvious, but a roof can make a big difference. A roof shields you from rain and sun, making those long days on the job more tolerable. We’ve got molded plastic, aluminum, and polycarbonate roofs so you can choose what works best for you.

Front Windshield:

Front windshields are another game-changer. Instead of eating dust or squinting through the rain, our windshields protect you from the elements. When you’re rolling around a construction site that’s 0% grass and 100% dirt, a windshield makes a huge difference.

For a job site, you’ll want to stick with a polycarbonate windshield. They’re 250 times stronger than glass, so you’re less likely to end up with a rogue 2×4 in your passenger seat.

Rear Windshield:

If you work rain or shine, shouldn’t your UTV? Protect yourself from the elements on all sides with a rear windshield. Our rear windshields are made with the same scratch-resistant polycarbonate we use for our windshields, so you know it’s tough.

Headache Rack:

Loading your UTV’s bed isn’t always a graceful process. It would be easy to accidentally toss a shovel the wrong way and damage your brand new rear windshield. Protect your rear windshield from serious damage with our headache rack. It’s made from heavy-duty powder-coated aluminum for strength. It also converts into a cargo shelf above the bed for even more storage options.

Accessories

Cab Heater:

You work all year long, even in the freezing cold. Give yourself some relief from low temps with our cab heater. It draws heat directly from the coolant lines just like a car heater. A cab heater will keep your UTV toasty so you can work harder, longer.

Winch:

Winches come in handy for all kinds of unexpected situations. Our Black Ops Winches use heavy-duty synthetic rope that won’t fray, rust, or break. We offer 2,500 to 12,000 lb winches, so you can pick the right one for your job.

Hitch:

A work UTV is going to do some towing. If you don’t have a hitch, you need to get one, plain and simple. Otherwise you won’t be getting the most out of your machine. Our hitches help you get more done.

And just for fun—Sound System:

Whether you need a soundtrack to your workday or you’re trying to blow off steam when you finally punch out, a sound system will really help your rig put in work. It may seem silly, but you should never underestimate how a little music can improve the mood—and increase productivity!
