Assault Industries' M.A.S 223 Phoenix Axle on fire.

Imagine ripping through the dunes, being wheel-to-wheel with your buddies. Everyone is pushing their machines to their limits. One by one, each one of your friends starts to get sidelined with broken axles. But not you. While they were calling for tows back to the garage, you blazed through the weekend unfazed.

What gives you the advantage? Assault Industries’ MAS-223 Phoenix Axle and proprietary grease.

But that’s just the start.

Let’s talk about Assault Industries’ racing axle and proprietary grease blend that has taken the off-roading industry by storm. It’s nothing like we’ve ever seen before.

What Heat Can Do to an Axle

There’s an overwhelming thrill when you push your machine to its limit. However, with extreme performance comes extreme heat, and that’s where the problem starts. Standard axles aren’t equipped to handle the stress and heat generated during aggressive riding. As the temperature rises, grease breaks down, leading to friction, boot and CV joint damage, and in worst-case scenarios, catastrophic axle failure.

Phoenix Axle Grease Prevents Failure

Assault Industries’ proprietary high-temp grease blend is the secret weapon against overheating. It’s tested up to an impressive 586.4°F—a staggering 61% hotter than OEM grease.

Whether you’re into high-speed racing, rock climbing, or conquering challenging trails, this high-temp grease is the secret sauce your axles need.

Assault Industries’ Phoenix Axle

Why trust Assault Industries? Because they haven’t just pushed the envelope, they’ve torn it to shreds. The Phoenix racing axle has undergone grueling testing, enduring temperatures up to 586.4°F without breaking down. They maxed out the testing equipment! In a head-to-head comparison, OEM surrendered at a mere 365°F.

Phoenix Axles also surpass OEM with:

  • Bigger axle shafts for unmatched durability and performance
  • Heat-treated chromoly construction for strength and resilience

Perfect for Racing, Duning, and Rock Crawling

Whether you’re cornering on rails through tight trails, pushing the limits in the dunes, or facing mountains head on, these axles are built to handle it all.

  • Racing UTVs at high speeds puts a lot of stress on your axles. The constant acceleration, deceleration, and lateral forces can wear them out, making them more likely to fail.
  • Duning stresses a UTV axle by combining sustained high speeds with jumps and the heat of the desert. The constant acceleration and deceleration during high-speed duning, coupled with the impact forces from jumps, can strain your axle’s components. Plus, the hot conditions in the desert can contribute to thermal stress on the axle. That means your axle has to endure both mechanical and temperature-related challenges.
  • Rock crawling, on the other hand, puts stress on your axle differently. When you navigate rough and rocky terrain, your axles experience intense articulation, increasing friction and stress.

With these axles, you’re not just riding—you’re unleashing true maximum performance on any terrain.

CV Joints Are Important Too

Assault Industries doesn’t just excel in axel and grease technology—their CV joints are engineered for race-quality performance. These joints are designed bigger to handle high articulation, heat, and pressure, ensuring power without compromising.

Compared to OEM joints, Phoenix Axles offer higher articulation angles, preventing axle binding and lowering friction.

Let’s Talk to the Guy Behind the Scenes

Will Monroe is one of the engineers on the Phoenix Axle project.

When Will was asked what drove the design of this project, he said, “We wanted a racing axle that not only could perform in a race but also allow maximum performance. And we knew we had to start with the grease.”

Will went on to explain that a lot of axle failures are due to the breakdown of the grease when it gets too hot. “The grease thins and becomes runny, therefore not lubricating how it should.”

After hours and hours in the lab, Will and the testing engineer on the project knew they had hit the jackpot. They had finally found a grease that could keep its consistency and lubricate the internals at a higher temperature than OEM.

Will also shared, “By combining a bigger axle shaft with the proprietary grease, we were able to see true maximum performance out of the Phoenix Axle.”

Ignite Your Off-Roading Experience

Assault Industries’ Phoenix Axle, coupled with high-temp grease, is a must-have for off-road enthusiasts seeking unparalleled performance and durability. With impressive heat resistance, beefed-up components, and a race-quality build, these axles redefine what it means to push the limits of your off-roading machine.
