What’s up guys Braden here with SuperATV and today we’re going to be showing you how to install SuperATV’s full glass windshield on this Kawasaki KRX 1000 so let’s get right to it.

Straight Seal and Foam Application [0:32]

Grab your straight seal out of the kit and apply it to the lower portion of the windshield. Start on the edge, run it across to the other edge, and cut off the excess. Apply foam on the edge, peel the backing off, and ensure it is fully adhered. Cut off the excess foam. You can cut or tear it. Repeat on the other side.

Clamps and Grommets [1:49]

Grab clamps and grommets from the kit. Remove the inserts or sleeves from the grommets. Slide grommets into the holes around the windshield. Insert the sleeves back into the grommets. Skip the hole for the wiper.

Roof Removal and Windshield Installation [2:49]

Remove roof hardware to get the roof out of the way for clamp installation. If you don’t have a roof, skip this step.

Place the windshield on the machine and position it. Lift the windshield and push clamps down to align them. Grab Allen head screws, flat washers, and Nylock nuts. Start hardware into the cage but do not fully tighten yet.

Bracket Installation [4:04]

Remove the upper cage mounting bolt. Slide the bolt through the bracket and start hardware back into the cage. Run hardware through the windshield and bracket. Repeat on the opposite side.

Wiper Installation [4:41]

Remove the 10mm nut from the wiper handle. Slide the piece off and thread the nut back onto the handle. Slide the handle through the hole from inside out. Add a flat washer and the other nut. Tighten the nut. Install the wiper arm by removing the plastic piece and nut. Flip the arm straight up and slide it on. Secure with the 10mm nut and tighten it. Slide the wiper on.

Hardware Installation [7:06]

Take the long hardware from the clamp, slide it through the upper windshield portion, and line it up with the clamp inside the machine. Start the nut.

Gasket Installation [7:43]

Apply the gasket across the top edge of the windshield to prevent roof rattling. Set the roof back into position.

Conclusion [8:08]

So, once you’ve fully tightened all the hardware, that’s all there is to it to install SuperATV’s full glass windshield on this Kawasaki KRX 1000. Does this windshield shop with protective film? If so, how to remove it?
The Glass front Windshield is not as clear as the poly back windshield. Is that because it’s a tinted glass front windshield?

      Hey Lynn,
Our glass windshields do not come with a protective film. They do have a very light tint to them!
