What’s up guys, today we’re going to be showing you how to install Super ATV’s soft cab on this Honda Talon 1000. This soft cab will enhance your riding experience by providing better protection from the elements. Let’s get right to it.

Preparation [0:29]

The first thing you’re going to do is remove any accessories from your machine, such as a roof or windshield. If you have a flip windshield, cut sections around your clamps to fit the soft cab. For a standard windshield, trim out the hook and loop fasteners after installing the soft cab. In this installation, the machine doesn’t have a windshield, so we can proceed without additional steps. Clean the cage using denatured rubbing alcohol to ensure a good adhesive surface for the hook and loop fasteners.

Install Hook and Loop Fastener [1:28]

Grab your hook and loop fastener and peel the backing off. Start attaching it at the center of the cage, running it along to the designated points. When you reach corners or bends, cut the fastener to allow it to lay flat. This ensures a secure attachment and prevents dirt or debris from getting underneath the adhesive.

Preparing for Windshield Installation [4:14]

If you have a windshield installed, prepare sections of hook and loop fasteners to fit around the clamps. Measure and cut the fasteners to ensure they fit snugly around the clamps, providing a tight seal. Attach these fasteners securely to prevent any gaps.

Installing the Cabin Closure [6:28]

Now, grab the passenger side of the cabin closure and start hanging it in place. This initial hanging is just to see where it lays out and to make any necessary adjustments. Ensure that all snaps on the soft cab align correctly with the cage. Adjust the fit by pulling down on the cabin closure to get it tight and well-aligned with the contours of the cage.

Installing Door Buttons [9:04]

The soft cab allows for both hook and loop fasteners or buttons on the door skin. We prefer using buttons. Use a paint marker to mark where each button will go. Firmly press the soft cab onto the door, leaving a paint mark on the door skin. Drill holes where marked and install the buttons. Attach the soft cab to the buttons, ensuring a tight fit.

Securing Straps and Zippers [12:09]

Attach all the straps around the cage, securing them tightly. This ensures the soft cab stays in place and doesn’t flap in the wind. Additionally, attach the provided zipper pulls to make opening and closing the zippers easier. This step is essential for the functionality and convenience of using the soft cab. Check the adjustment of the cabin closure. It should be tight and secure. Test opening and closing the door to ensure the soft cab doesn’t interfere. If needed, make any final adjustments for a perfect fit.

Using the Soft Cab in Different Conditions [14:26]

For warm days or when you don’t need the cabin closure, roll up the soft cab neatly into the door. Secure it with the flap and fasten it in place. This allows you to use the door freely. If it starts raining or you need protection, unroll the soft cab, zip it back up, and secure it.

Conclusion [15:44]

Once everything is installed and adjusted correctly, repeat the same steps for the opposite side. That’s all there is to it to install Super ATV’s soft cabin closure on this Honda Talon 1000.
