What’s up guys Braden here with Super ATV and today we’re going to show you how to install Super ATV’s lighted Fang lights on this Can-Am Maverick X3 so let’s get right to it.
The first thing we’re going to do is go ahead and remove the following hardware. We’re going to have a T30 Torx here with a 10-millimeter nut on the back side. Down here we’re going to have a T30 Torx. We’re going to remove our hood and then repeat the same steps for the hardware on the opposite side as well.
Now we’re going to remove this T30 here as well as this one here. We’ll remove these two push pins. Then we’re going to go to this edge of the fender right here. We’ll have a T30 here, another T30 right here on this outer, and then a T30 right here on the intermont.
Next we’re going to remove our headlight hardware. You’re going to have an eight-millimeter screw directly to the left side of the adjuster for the headlight. Remove the screw and then unplug our headlights and the factory accent light. Unclip the wiring, headlight plug, and accent light plug. Let them hang down and repeat the same steps on the opposite side.
Once everything is disconnected, grab the front fascia, lift up, and remove it from the machine. Now that we have our fascia removed, grab an eight-millimeter socket and a T30 Torx with an extension. Start removing the hardware. On the outer edge, remove an eight-millimeter screw. Continue removing the screws and T30 Torx from various spots. Remove the clip by prying it up with a flat head screwdriver. Remove the piece and set it aside.
With the factory fang removed, grab the new RGB Fang and slide it into position. Line up the outermost screw hole first, as the fascia will flex during installation. Start securing the fang light.
Ensure the positioning is correct and tighten the hardware. Secure all the screws and clips back into place. Repeat the same steps for the opposite side fang light.
Reinstall the front fascia by lining up all the tabs. With the harness for the fang lights, locate the two wire plug that was plugged into the factory accent light and connect it to the harness. Identify the left and right side, and green and yellow wires for turn signals. Plug in the headlight and fan plug, routing the wiring as necessary.
Route the wiring for the left side and right side, connecting them to the fang lights. Secure the wiring with zip ties, running it towards the firewall and integrating it with the factory harness. Conduct a test by turning the key on and using the remote to explore different modes, colors, and brightness settings. After testing, tie up and clean the wiring. Reinstall the fascia and fully tighten all hardware. Once everything is secure, that’s all there is to it to install Super ATV’s RGB accent lights on this Can-Am Maverick X3.
