What’s up guys, today we’re going to be installing our sliding rear windshield on this Polaris Ranger 1000, so let’s get right to it.

Windshield Removal [0:30]

First things first, you want to take your rear windshield, lay it up on your machine, and confirm that it fits. Once you’ve done that, you’re going to go ahead and remove your protective film from both sides.

Bulb Seal Installation [0:43]

Once the protective seal is removed, grab your bulb seal. You want the bulb to face towards the inside of the windshield, which will be the side that has the latch for the sliding rear windshield. Orient your bulb seal with the bulb facing up. Start right here on this edge, and run it all the way around, ending at the other edge.

When you get to the corner, cut a V-notch in your seal to allow the bulb seal to lay nice and square. Do this on all four corners. Once you reach the end, cut off the excess.

Next, run a piece from this point here to this point here. Start the piece right here and run it all the way over to the other side. Once you reach the end, cut off the excess.

Bracket Installation [2:47]

Grab your brackets out of the kit and install them to the windshield. Use the short Allen-headed hardware in the kit and two Nylock nuts. Line the two holes on the bracket with the two holes on the windshield using the hardware. The hardware will come from the outside to the inside. Start the nuts but do not fully tighten them yet. Repeat this for the remaining three brackets.

Hardware Installation [4:17]

Take the bracket and line it up on the outside top portion of the rear windshield. Use the long Allen-headed hardware with a large flat washer. Install it through the bracket and the windshield. On the inside of the windshield, use a small flat washer and a Nylock nut. Get the bracket lined up evenly on both sides, then fully tighten the hardware.

Windshield Installation [5:18]

Take your rear windshield and install it onto the machine. Slide the lower brackets onto the rear section of the frame first. Slide the bolts through the top holes on the cage and start the hand knobs, just getting them started. Fully tighten the lower hardware on the brackets previously installed to the cage.

Final Steps [6:10]

Once the lower brackets are fully tightened, go to the inside and fully tighten the hand knobs. So, once you’ve fully tightened all your hardware, that’s all there is to it to install Super ATV’s rear sliding windshield on this Polaris Ranger 1000.
