Welcome to the Super ATV installation guide! Braden here, and today I’ll show you how to install Super ATV’s winch and winch mount on this Polaris RZR XP. This step-by-step tutorial will help you upgrade your vehicle with ease. Let’s get started!
The first thing we need to do is remove the factory front cover. You will find two 15 mm bolts on the bottom. Remove these bolts and then grab the cover and set it aside. Next, remove the factory toe plate by taking out the four 15 mm bolts.
Grab your winch and cut the zip tie holding the rope. Feed the rope up so it comes straight up underneath the roller or the post on the winch. Flip the winch upside down, align the winch mount with the mounting pattern, and use the provided hardware from the winch kit to thread the bolts into the winch. Fully tighten all the hardware.
Take the fairlead from your winch kit and use the M8 by 25 mm Allen heads and M8 Nylock nuts to secure it. Drop the M8 Allen through, line it up, and start the nut on the backside. Fully tighten the hardware once both sides are started.
Grab the long M10 hardware from the kit and the mount. Slide the mount into position, aligning it with the bottom two threaded holes first. Start the hardware and then work your way up to the top threaded holes. Snug them up but do not fully tighten yet.
Make sure the terminals of the winch are facing towards the passenger side. Lay the winch into position, aligning it with the top and bottom threaded holes. Use the M8 bolts included in the kit to secure the winch. Fully tighten all the bolts once they are properly started.
Slide the winch rope through the front cover portion of the winch mount. Align the cover with the mount and use the M8 Allen-headed screws to secure it. Start the top two screws first, then move to the bottom holes. Fully tighten all the hardware once it is in place.
Take the provided M6 screws and thread them into the plate to secure the panel. Use the factory T40 screws to attach the front cover to the factory front fascia. Fully tighten all the hardware to ensure everything is secure.
If you already have the wiring done, you can simply hook it up after installing the winch and winch mount. After adjusting and securing the winch and winch mount, check that everything operates smoothly. Your installation of Super ATV’s winch and winch mount on the Polaris RZR XP is complete.
