What’s up, guys? Braden here with Super ATV, and today I’m going to show you how to install Super ATV’s aluminum half doors on the CFMOTO UForce 1000 XL. Let’s get right to it!
First, we need to remove all the door net hardware. You’ll need to remove bolts located at various points on the door, including the bottom and the buckle mounted inside the cage with two 10mm bolts. Using a 5mm Allen, remove the hardware from the bottom and sides. Reinstall the front Allen bolt for the door net and discard the rear bolt. This step ensures that the new half doors will fit securely without any obstructions from the old hardware.
Next, grab the front striker bracket and align it with the cage and mirror bracket. Use M8x1.25×30 mm hex head bolts to secure it. Ensure the hardware is snug but not fully tightened to allow for adjustment. Attach the striker with two nuts and a lock washer, leaving it loose for further adjustments. This setup will allow you to make precise adjustments to ensure the door latches correctly.
Install the right side lower mount with the angled bracket facing out. Use M6 hardware to loosely secure it, allowing for adjustments later. Repeat the process for the right rear mount. These mounts provide the lower support for the door and need to be correctly positioned for optimal performance.
Remove push pins from the side panel to make room for the hinge mount. Slide the hinge mount into place, ensuring the bend faces up. Start the hardware into the frame, focusing on the rear two bolts first. Then, remove the push pin at the front to secure the front bolt. This step ensures that the hinge mount is securely fastened to the frame.
Dump the bed and remove the side panel and push pins to access the installation area. Install the rear bracket, ensuring it sits at a 45° angle. Use the same method as the front bracket to secure it with hardware. The rear bracket provides additional support and stability for the door.
Attach the filler panels to the hinge mounts using M8x14 mm Allens. Loosely secure the hardware to allow for adjustments. Ensure all bolts are started by hand. These filler panels help close any gaps and provide a finished look.
Hang the front door on the hinge pins and latch it. Adjust as needed to ensure a proper fit. Repeat the process for the front doors. The doors should swing smoothly and latch securely when properly aligned.
Adjust the doors to ensure an even gap and proper fit. Tighten all hardware once the door is properly aligned. Adjust the striker last to ensure it latches securely. Proper adjustment ensures that the doors function correctly and seal properly.
