0:00–0:13] Introduction – Troubleshooting Key Switch Issues

Is your machine having trouble starting or experiencing issues with the key switch? SuperATV’s Up and Running Key Switch line offers replacements for many makes and models. In this video, Braden Adams demonstrates how to install a key switch on a Polaris RZR XP Turbo.

[0:53] Tools Needed and Removing the Existing Key Switch

Begin by removing the key from the ignition. Use a 25mm wrench (a socket typically won’t fit well) to loosen and remove the nut securing the key switch. After removing the nut, reach behind the dash to locate the switch and wiring connector. Use a small pick or flat-blade screwdriver to lift the connector tab and disconnect the wiring from the old switch. Set the old switch aside.

[1:58] Installing the New Key Switch

Take your new key switch and remove its nut and rubber washer. Orient the switch so the notch aligns with the dash opening. Reach behind the dash and slide the switch into place. Thread the nut onto the switch by hand, then gently tighten it with a 25mm wrench. Do not overtighten, as the threads are plastic. Insert the new key and test the switch to make sure it works in all positions. Confirm smooth operation and correct alignment. Once verified, you’re good to go.
