What’s up guys, Braden here with SuperATV. Today we’re going to be showing you how to install SuperATV’s flip windshield on this Kawasaki Mule Pro FXT. This is going to fit all of the 2015 plus Mule Pro FXTs, so let’s get right to it.
Apply the Bulb Seal: Start by grabbing the lower windshield and the bulb seal. Install the bulb seal to the lower edge, beginning from one corner and running it all the way to the opposite side. Use an air hammer or a dead blow hammer to securely attach the seal without damaging it. Once you reach the end, cut off the excess seal to ensure a perfect fit.
Mount the Lower Windshield: Remove the hardware from the clamps. Lay the lower windshield onto the cage of the machine, ensuring the clamps wrap around the cage. Start the hardware into the clamps using a 4 mm Allen socket to help get it started. Snug up the hardware but do not fully tighten it yet. Remove the protective film from the windshield. Install the gasket along the lip of the lower windshield, cutting off any excess.
Mount the Upper Windshield: With help, lift the upper windshield and position it on the cage to align with the lower windshield. Remove the hardware from the clamps before positioning. Squeeze the clamps together tightly and start the screws on each side. Snug up the hardware once the upper windshield is positioned correctly.
Attach the Struts: Grab the M8 nuts and the struts from the kit. Lift the windshield to the open position and line the stud of the strut with the bracket. Start the nut on the stud and tighten using a 12 mm wrench and a 13 mm socket. Repeat the process on the opposite side.
Attach the Handle: Slide two M6 Allens down through the bracket and through the notch on the windshield. On the bottom side, slide the handle onto the hardware and start the Nylock nuts. Securely tighten the handle.
Attach the Catch Support: Slide the hardware into the notch of the catch support and through the windshield. Align the catch support and start the M6 Nylock nuts. Position the windshield to determine the correct placement of the catch. Fully tighten the hardware once positioned correctly.
Adjust and Secure: Bring the windshield down and adjust the catch for a perfect latch. Ensure the windshield seals properly with the lower windshield. Repeat the adjustments on the opposite side. Adjust the handle as needed to ensure it latches correctly. Once all adjustments are made and the hardware is tightened, the installation is complete.
